"Staff need training. No welcome from reception. Room needed a lot of updating. Fire alarm went off in early hours. No staff on site and no emergency contact details readily available once we had evacuated. No apology when checking out and we weren’t asked if we’d had a good stay. Excellent location."

"Fascinating place to stay with so much character! Great breakfast with beautiful fresh spring flowers on the table. Flooring could benefit from an update in room but all very clean, and was a lovely room if a bit creepy! 😀 Dean on reception deserves a special mention as he is a credit to the hotel!"

"Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche im Cottage mitten in Rye. Alles ist bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Was man wissen muss: Parken vor der Tür kostet Geld (8-18:00, Mo-Sa, Parkscheinautomat um die Ecke) und auch die öffentlichen Parkplätze in der Nähe kosten etwas (3 pro Tag).Kleinere Probleme (zu wenig Handtücher, Heizung lief nicht wegen Sommermodus) wurden schnell vom Gastgeber behoben. Danke!Ein kleiner Hinweis: Mit einer kleinen Checkliste im Cottage, auf der die wichtigsten FAQs beantwortet werden, hätten wir uns einige Fragen selbst beantworten können."
