We came here for a little getaway from the Texas heat, and it was wonderful! Felt like I was walking into grandma‘s cabin in the woods and for all the right reasons! Don’t get me wrong. This cabin is not renovated, but that’s actually what makes it amazing! We spent most of our time sitting on the deck, listening to the river and playing board games and just being bored and it was wonderful.

The house was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had many things you might have forgotten. Quiet area and the houses on either side were not too close. The area was beautiful and we enjoyed the Elk sleeping and eating in the yard. The river can be heard and seen just off the back deck. We spent lots of time there.Restaurants and shopping were just down the street from the house.Overall, we were very pleased with our stay in Ruidoso, NMHost was prompt with any questions we had before we arrived. We were sent specific directions to the house, which was very helpful.

Definitely 5 stars! The house definitely had a welcoming vibe and our whole family loved being there. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and blankets, which I think is always a bonus. All the small extra things were great - extra towels, dishes, kitchen items, etc. And the back deck and river were amazing!
