"It was in a little old building with history. There are only seven rooms. There is no staff that greet you or is at the hotel, but you can contact them at any time. We just loved staying there. It is very clean very well maintained. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The cute little lobby has coffee, tea, and a sitting area for you. If you want to feel like you’re in Virginia City in the older days as far as the building goes, this is the place to stay. You won’t be sorry."

"Absolutely gorgeous area with lovely views and kind strangers. Our cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, the bed very comfortable. We brought our rocking chairs out front to watch the sunset and various passers-by. The cleaning material used in the cabin before or arrival was a bit overwhelming, so we assured the cabin a bit."

"The room was clean and great for being out of the way. No Wifi, no TV so that is what was expected. The part that I didn’t like was finding it. Please put up some kind of signage. Nothing said Hangman’s Ranch, there was no number 18 on the property entrance only a no trespassing sign. We drove a long way down a dirt road looking for it but kept seeing no trespassing signs. Finally we turned around and took a chance on the entrance that was closest to the main road that said no trespassing. Thankfully the description matched once we got to the cabin areas. We were very close to chalking it up as a scam and driving back to Bozeman but the innkeeper had seemed so legit when we corresponded. I would have tried from right there on the dirt road but I didn’t have signal and there was no contact phone number. For future guests there was an arrow that said ‘train station’ pointing down the road but there was no train station. Aside from that, it was a lovely out of the way cabin to go off grid for a night."

"The cabin was very beautiful, access to the river was easy and the cabin felt very private relative to the owner's cabin and the highway was not visible at all"

"Our stay was exceptional from booking to check out. The cabin is in a truly special location, we exceptional views to the east and amazing surises and tucked away from the busier locations in the area. Access was easy. Some reviews suggested it was difficult but the road and driveway are easily accessible with any stardard SUV (winter, with a freeze and snow could be different and require AWD/4WD.Location was perfect for access to the many blue-ribbon fly-fishing spots less that 45 minutes in almost every direction. The kitchen had everything we needed (plus a nice outdoor grill) for preparing a few meals when we didn't want to dine out in Ennis or west towards Twin Bridges or Dillon.We can't wait to go back - the trip was too short!"
