A Very Pleasant Surprise on our Spanish Vacation

A wonderful setting away from the business of town....we loved the peacocks, the horses, and the park like setting. A very nice pool to refresh on a hot day, and we had a top notch meal from the in house restaurant. The owners work very hard to please you and to make your stay wonderful.....would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Hidden jewel

The place is gorgeous, you feel so relax. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable for a family of 4. The only issue I had was the water in the pool was very cold, but either way we got in and enjoyed it. We had the breakfast buffet, which was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place

We had a room booked for four adults but it was so open plan we then needed to book a second room. But for a family the room would have been perfect. Just not ideal for two couples. But the place is beautiful peaceful and in a stunning surroundings. The pool was too cold in April but the warmer weather would make it even better

Un peu mais cadre magnifique

Chambre peu lumineuse et un jour de pluie c’était problématique et assez poussiéreux. De plus le logement était froid, nous avons du demander un chauffage supplémentaire car trop froid avec un bébé. Par contre le cadre était magnifique et le restaurant très bon.

The property was huge and beautiful. There are lots of beautiful peacocks that roam free on the property. They are a little noisy but didn’t bother us too much! The property has 2 pools and many areas to lounge and relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine! There is onsite parking. The rooms were nice and had windows that opened big to let fresh Spain air in! Would definitely come back for another visit!

Descanso en familia

El entorno y la ubicación son excepcionales. Los exteriores del alojamientos tienen mucho encanto. Se respira una calma total. Mis hijas disfrutaron mucho con los pavos reales,los peces del estanque, etc. Creo que le podrían sacar mucho más partido a este hotel. Yo modificaría el desayuno la variedad insuficiente (no había frutas,ni yogures,ni cereales, ni pan integral). El baño tenía dispensadores de gel de baño con sensor y estaban vacíos no fueron rellanados en toda la estancia. El sofá cama no era muy cómodo. Y el detalle de dejarnos en el apartamento un estropajo usado....En fin son detalles mínimos que son fácilmente solucionables y que harían que este alojamiento fuera muy recomendable.

The initial impression was frustrating. We waited at the entrance gate for some time. No one answered our calls to open the gate. The room we were originally offered was allegedly a "Deluxe" room. It was very dark, the furniture was uncomfortable, the shower room and toilet were practically in the bedroom, there was a damp smell to the place and the outside space that all the other rooms had, did not exist with this one. The room did not resemble the photographs in the Hotels.com feature at all. We complained and were told it was because we had booked through a 3rd party (Hotels.com) and that if we were to be given a better room we would have to pay. We refused and only as we were persistent enough to stay for an hour discussing the point, the receptionist eventually gave in. On the plus side, the breakfast in the morning was pretty good and the swimming pool and seating area were a pleasant experience. Be sure you get what you ask for when you make a booking here. It's pretty remote, so once you're inside, you are pretty much a captive audience.

The property is old, run down and severely understaffed. The rooms, allegedly for 2 adults and 2 children were so tiny, that we could not move around without climbing over our luggage. The breakfast was probably the worst we ever had in Europe, old, hard bread, left over vegetables, cold coffee and stale cookies. They charged 22 Euros pp for the worst breakfast we ever had. The breakfast lady was mean, looked overworked and annoyed and when I asked for a second cup of coffee, she rolled her eyes and acted like I had asked her for money. You could not help yourself to coffee, she had to give it to you. They also charged us 10 Euros for the use of utensils!! I have NEVER seen that in my decades of traveling. We had a severe ant infestation, they had to change our room. When I first discovered the severe infestation, thousands of ants coming from behind the microwave, there was no one at front desk, office was closed for hours. I left numerous messages on the number provided before someone called me back. The main swimming pool had a snake in the pool for 2 days and water is ice cold. Peacocks sound nice in writing, but I never knew HOW LOUD they are, and they left human sized feces all over the property that never gets cleaned up. You need earplugs if you want to relax. There are much better places near Ronda, this one looks and sounds much better in photos than it actually is.

Zauberhaftes Boutique Hotel

Ich war total begeistert von dem Hotel. Es liegt inmitten einer schönen Berglandschaft und ist trotzdem nur wenige Minuten von Ronda entfernt. Der große Garten ist sehr schön gestaltet mit vielen Teichen und hat zwei tolle Pools. Das Haus ist zwar alt und etwas hellhörig, aber die Zimmer waren gemütlich und charmant ländlich eingerichtet. Das ganze hat etwas von einer Filmkulisse, ein historisches Landgut mit frei laufenden Pfauen und Pferdekoppeln.

Sejour original dans un site isole mais neamoins proche de ronda pour les visites. Les enfants etaient de ce sejoir au mileu des paons. Appartement bien equipe calme. Etre tres patient pour l eau chaude. Alavaro nous a tres bien accueilli et a pris le temps de nous conseiller pour les visites. Hotel afastado do Centro Histórico, com acomodação bonita mas que infelizmente apresentou problemas de pequeno vazamento na cozinha e chuveiro não manteve a temperatura da água durante o banho. Pelo preço da diária, esses problemas jamais deveriam ter ocorrido.

Es un sitio precioso para descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza en familia. El personal es muy amable. Hay casas muy distintas, antiguas y nuevas. Nuestro apartamento necesitaba repaso de mantenimiento pero, aún así, ha resultado agradable y acogedor.
