A nice surprise

Angelo, who has been waiting us until late, welcome us on the main door of a classic Rome building and provided the room inside a fifth floor apartment made by three main rooms and three big bathrooms divided by a corridor. One common kitchen for breakfast which we used mainly for an early nespresso. The room was arranged by three beds which gives the idea how big the room was. Beds were ok. Bathroom was very big. Rooms has been every morning perfectly cleaned and readjusted very well. Clean is definitely a positive highlight. The building is a bit hired but moving just around the corner you are in Via Appia Nuova which is one of the major Rome streets (not touristic). Just below there are many bars as Napoleoni or in via Appia where we enjoyed wonderful and cheap real Rome breakfast. Again, below several pizzeria as Olio and Farina (just to mention one) provides a good typical pizza but still cheap. 400 meters you have the metro (subway) Colli Albani which permits you to move and visit every monument in just 20 minutes. We arrived from airport Fiumicino, took the fast train to the main railway station and from that by metro in overall an hour. I do not recommend to get there by taxi for the huge traffic of the block. Generally, the room was extremely quiet. For me it was a new way to visit cities. Not exactly an hotel or traditional bed and breakfast but I was positively surprised. A special thanks to Angelo for his kindness to support us during the trip to the Davila.

Budget Accomodation

It's an apartment with 3 rooms for guests. There's no receptionist. So please do call the owner before you get there or be prepared to wait outside the building till some kind stranger opens the door for you. The breakfast is good, no eggs, no juice. You can use the kitchen with basic utensils. Can travel around by bus and train. Basic toiletries are included. Overall a good and calm place to stay.

Der Aufenthalt war für mich optimal. Ich habe dort eine Freundin besucht und konnte von dort aufgrund der nahen Verbindung zur Metro die ganze Stadt bereisen. Der Vermieter ist sehr aufmerksam und kümmert sich um alle Probleme. War daher zu empfehlen.

Fantastico.... Come essere a casa propria.... Ben servito per i mezzi a 10 minuti a piedi dalla fermata Colli Albani della metro linea A.... Stanza molto comoda e pulita ogni giorno anche il giorno di Capodanno che è festivo... Consigliatissimo e sicuramente ci tornerò

Günstig gelegene Unterkunft für Rom-Besucher

Großes Zimmer mit separatem, nur für dieses Zimmer reservierten, Bad. In Metro-Nähe, 7 Stationen von Termini entfernt. Mit der ständig überfüllten Metro erreicht man schnell alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Roms. Nachteil: TV nur in italienisch. Frühstück ist italienisch, was sich nicht unbedingt mit deutschen Vorstellungen deckt. Wir haben uns aus dem nahen Supermarkt selbst versorgt. Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt, täglicher Handtuchwechsel und bei 6 Tage Aufenthalt ein Mal Bettwäsche-Wechsel, da kann man nicht meckern.

B&B Davila

We enjoyed our stay in Rome, our room had AC, which was a must. The apartment was close to the subway so traveling around the city was easy. We did have some concerns the free nearby parking actually means, find parking on the street or pay $10 euros per night to park in the underground parking garage. Although the description notes "Private bathroom (not in room)", it should be indicated the bathroom is across the hall. Also the included breakfast were pre-packaged foods, nothing fresh. They made my wife sick, so we bought our own breakfast the on the remaining days of our stay.

Una buena opción para recorrer Roma

La habitación y el baño (fuera de la habitación pero de uso exclusivo) impecables, tal cual la pagina. El desayuno es muy acotado, incluye un café de maquina, una bandeja con crousants, otra con un paquete de tostadas, y otras com unas mini paatafrolas, y dulcecitos, no es buffet como dice. Angelo te recibe y te vas sin volver a verlo, te deja una llave como si fuerantu depto. No esta cerca de Termini, pero si del Subte, es un tranquilo barrio, y como Roma es grande es probable que uses el Subte aun alojandote en Termini

Tranquillo B&B a Roma

Ottimo per brevi soggiorni, ottima la pulizia, confortevole la camera. Sito in zona residenziale tranquilla, su una strada secondaria con scarso traffico, a due passi dalla fermata del metrò di Colli Albani. Il titolare Angelo è cortese e prodigo di consigli, ottime le sue indicazioni per raggiungere il B&B dal metrò. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Consigliato per brevi soggiorni anche in famiglia (noi siamo andati con i nostri figli di 8 e 5 anni) se si vuole avere la massima libertà di movimento possibile.

Nice and easy

Dejligt B&B med kun 3 værelser. Alle med eget badeværelse på modsatte side af gangen. Indrettet i gammel lejlighed på 5. sal. Kun 3-400 meter til nærmeste metro. Imødekommende og yderst venlig vært som i øvrigt vejledte os i nemmeste og billigste transportform fra lufthavnen til hans fordør.
