Great stay but important things guests should know

It's important for travelers to know that this is not a typical hotel with a front desk, etc. It is 4 rooms off of a hallway on the second floor of a residential building. You must contact the owner (by phone) to arrange for a check in. We did not know this and it caused a lot of confusion/stress (we did not have a working cell phone while in Italy and could not find another means to contact them) but otherwise we had a good stay. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful and even left us breakfast that we could eat on our own since we had to leave early in the morning for the airport. The location is also fantastic for visiting the Vatican.

Mateo was a perfect host! We enjoyed our breakfasts of cappuccinos and cornetti, yogurt and juice. He even made us a delicious Greek banana yogurt cake one morning which was to die for! He gave us advice on where to visit in the city and where to eat which we very much appreciated. Thankful for such a comfortable place to stay after our long travel. The map Mateo provided was also invaluable to our experience exploring Rome.

Diamond in the rough!

Wow! This was a hidden gem. After being rerouted back to Rome because of a flight cancellation, we decided to stay in a different neighborhood. This was a special stay. Wonderful owner and staff made us feel very welcome. It had so much charm- even used those old-fashioned keys and elevator! The friendly gentleman working at the front made us a lovely breakfast. The room was immaculate and updated. It’s a few minute walk to Vatican City and a nice walk or short taxi ride to Trevi Fountain. Lots of restaurants, mini markets and shops nearby. Very reasonably priced too. Only thing is the AC is quite loud and not as cool as we had hoped for for a super hot Rome summer. I’ll recommend this place to everyone.

The area is unsafe, we could not lock the door, elevator did not work. no staffs to call. We ended up moving to a different hotel. When called later for a refund, the owner denied all, even though we had photos to prove it. Expedia was not helpful either. We have to take it up with our credit card company. Please avoid.

Die Unterkunft liegt wenige Gehminuten vom Petersplatz entfernt. Die Metro erreicht man in maximal 10min. Um das Apartment herum gibt es eine große Auswahl an Restaurants, Geschäften und Supermärkten. Das Personal ist super freundlich, hilft und erklärt und überrascht mit einem sehr gutem Frühstück. Zu 100% zu empfehlen.

Went with my wife for 4 nights in November. Location is super near the Vatican and very close to a lot of superb places to eat. Lots to see in the surrounding area and not to far to walk from the main city. Room was very clean and well kept with everything we could need. Mateo was a super host always full of friendly helpful advice, a smile and 1 night a complementary bottle of Prosecco! We were served a simple yet tasty breakfast each morning and a homemade cake! Check in/Check out very easy with zero stress and held our luggage on the last day so we could still explore till we were ready to head to the airport. Overall a great stay and would happily stay there again!

L’emplacement est juste parfait, personnel très accueillant, chambre globalement propre et très bien insonorisée, le rapport qualité prix est top; nous recommandons cet hôtel. Si nous devions émettre quelques points d’améliorations: - le changement des serviettes tous les jours (elles n’ont été changé qu’une fois et nous n’avions pas eu de tapis de bain) - difficultés d’évacuation de l’eau dans la douche - les murs de la chambre sont à repeindre (traces noires, peu flatteuses) - le petit déjeuner est industrielle, ça manque un peu de produits frais, c’est dommage. Ce ne sont que des recommandations, nous sommes dans l’ensemble satisfait de notre séjour.
