The Rock House - 1 bdrm, 1 bath Salem Missouri Vacation Rental

Welcome to Salem Missouri! Come take in the beauty of the Ozarks! We are located close to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, approximately 2 hours south of St. Louis. Montauk State Park is located 35 minutes south and is one of Missouri’s premier trout fishing parks. Trout season opens in March and runs through October.
Echo Bluffs, the newest of the Missouri State Parks is located 32 miles south on Highway 19.
Our 1800’s refurbished cottage has one bedroom and a den. The master bedroom has the attached bath and a queen sized bed. A second area has a den with a double pull out sofa bed. The Little Rock house is equipped with towels, blankets, sheets, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and all kitchen and bath necessities.
Come enjoy our quiet Country Cottage at the edge of town and enjoy what the Ozarks has to offer; floating on the Current River, fishing at Montauk, or just sitting back and relaxing at the beauty of our scenic area.

We had an amazing stay at the Rock House in Salem, MO! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host went above and beyond—there were snacks waiting for us when we arrived, along with shampoo, conditioner, and other thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. You can tell a lot of care is put into keeping the place clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this rental if you’re in the area!

Cute Stay

Comfortable and convenient location for a short trip. The only reason I took a few stars off was because of the mold in the freezer and some spiders and ants in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. If those hadn’t been there, the stay would’ve been perfect.

Rock house vibes

Charming little house! We were there for a kayaking trip down the current river. Absolutely love this area, so much beauty! Our host was as charming as the house. Looking forward to my next adventure.☺️

Hidden Gem

The pictures do not do this little cottage justice. It is immaculately maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need. I found the decor charming. It has a beautiful big lawn in the back with a deck to watch the fireflies in the evening. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Quaint Stone House

Sweet stone house. Very clean with all the necessities and lots of little extra touches like a goody basket in the kitchen. We loved all the windows in the eating area looking out on the back grassy area. Good central location to explore the area around Salem. Easy check in and check out. Saundra was great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful

The Sugar Rock house property is beautiful. All kinds of beautiful birds sing in the morning and in the evening watching firefly's in the backyard. Peaceful! Salem trip

This is the second stay at this location. Came down to float the Current River. House is adorable, clean and easy to get to. Sandy even leaves some snacks which I find very sweet.

It was a perfect little getaway. Very clean. Good water pressure. Comfy bed. Fireflies off the deck at dusk were magical. The only thing that I would say is that the bedroom gets very bright in the morning so if you’re sensitive to bright sunlight bring a sleep mask. Great restaurants in town. All in all a great experience.

Beautifully Restored 100 Year Old Home

This is a beautiful old home that's been restored. It's very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Salem is a great location and near so many national and state parks.
