Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. "I was contacted by Helen early on my arrival day to say that the property was available and not to wait for the 4pm earliest check in. The House at Pebbles was exactly as described, with stunning views, especially the sunsets over Lundy Island. Lots of interesting walks from the house and nearby National Trust properties and land.Arlington House, the National Carriage Museum were very interesting and the grounds provided good walking opportunities."

"This hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful walks along the shore. The hotel is clean, sophisticated and comfortable. The staff were almost all very friendly, kind and helpful. The food was very nice - excellent breakfasts especially. The only downsides are that the pool is freezing. Also information on the room specification was misleading ‘shower/bathtub combination’ logically made me think we would have a bathtub with a shower over the top. As a part of an expensive seaview room, I really wanted a bath and the information given made me believe this is what we would have instead of the shower which I found in our room. Otherwise I would not have booked that room. I was told on arrival by the hotel manager that I should have made a special request for this before arriving (which made it seem like this was my fault). She told me that there was nothing she could do about it because they were fully booked and that next time, I needed to request this to avoid being disappointed. No other attempts to make up for this or to at least accept that the information given had been misleading were made. The rest of the kind and welcoming staff and our stay there made up for this rude and unkind interaction and we had a nice time but this did taint the trip for us and better customer service could have avoided us feeling disappointed and told off."

"An immaculate upside-down house giving amazing picture views from each window. A fabulous sea view from the lounges large sliding door with Juliet balcony, allowing us to listen to the waves. Also, views of the downs & valley from side and rear of the property. The Hot Tub was perfectly positioned at the rear to enjoy the scenery.We saw lots of wildlife in the large back garden area including morning visits from a woodpecker and a red deer running through.The property is situated in a peaceful location, just a short walk to the beaches and the villages of Woolacombe and Mortehoe.It was great to meet the host Johnny who was lovely and friendly, he gave us lots of advice on the area and good walking ideas of the coastal routes and across the downs. Thank you Johnny for letting us stay at your lovely property, we didn't want to leave after a fantastic week and we hope to be back in the near future."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. Location is fantastic with sweeping views of Woolacombe and Combesgate beach and easy access to amenities in Mortehoe and Woolacombe. A short walk to all the beaches. The house was well appointed, comfortable and the views from the living areas and bedrooms were outstanding. The addition of a second large fridge in the utility area was handy. Highly recommend both the house and the location."

"Excellent apartment. Quiet location, facilities and accommodation Excellent. Wonderful walks. Beautiful village with home cooked takeaway and fish and chips 5 minute walk away. There is a shop just up the road on a camp site if you need groceries bread etc., Walks outstanding. Sea views, and grass paths on cliffs around Mortehoe great. More challenging coastal path walks to Woolacombe but still really beautiful, take sturdy shoes and go slow. Wonderful holiday. Colin and Val"

"Old Bakery Cottage is a fantastic holiday location for all ages. With views over the sea from the dining area and sun terrace, a lovely big living area, and within minutes of the stunning Mortehoe headland it cannot be beaten. The delightful village itself with its museum and a number of eateries has all that you could want. If your party contains youngies, then the beautiful sands of Woolacombe are only minutes away. Exmoor walks, gems such as Lynton and Lynemouth and RHS Rosemoor are all within easy striking range. We shall be returning."
