We loved the peaceful scenery. The location was private, and the waterfalls were gorgeous to look at and listen to from the back deck. We had a great stay enjoying the trails but also cooking, relaxing and playing games at the cabin.

My wife and I stayed there for my 50th birthday. I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of my busy job and it was the perfect place. The scenery and the accommodations were beautiful.

The property was as beautiful as it looked and could not have been cleaner. The hosts were amazingly responsive. After arriving when I realized that the salt shaker was completely empty, I messaged the hosts hoping that perhaps there was a storage place where we could find more. Shortly thereafter someone arrive at the door with salt and pepper shakers, and would not take a tip. What was describe as starter amounts lasted us four days with much left over. My suggestion for future renters who plan to do a lot of cooking would be to verify that everything you needed was there. We did not use the sauna or the hot tub but the gas grill was wonderful and the fire pit area was magical.

The house is off the beaten path but lovely once you arrive. Beds are comfortable, hot tub was great and the place is very tranquil. As others have mentioned, there are no closets, hooks or racks to hang clothing, jackets, bags, hats, etc. One bedroom has decent sized night tables with drawers so with our 3 night stay we made do, but if you plan to stay in fall or winter months you’ll be hanging your gear on the back of kitchen chairs. There are outdoor hooks for towels and suits by the hot tub, but they’ll never dry out there. No washer/dryer. Host supplies salt, pepper and Donut Shop K-cups for the coffee maker. The fire pit area is beautiful at night and we were able to get a good fire going. Overall, we had a great stay. We hiked every trail in Hocking state park and the Preserve as well. It was the perfect time to go before busy summer season kicks in and fewer bugs!

Rocky Villa is a beautifully decorated home situated on a unique property with many outdoor features

Spacious, beautifully decorated living room with fireplace and huge TV. Lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding. The stairs in back leads from the deck down to a lighted covered bridge, a fire pit, and the Rocky Villa Bar. Just a gorgeous natural setting to explore.

Our stay was AMAZING! The sauna pod and hot tub were perfect for the chilly weekend weather!

We had booked a cabin in July with bookhocking and had issues and the owners made it right, and our latest day in the new cabin was absolutely amazing. The decor in the cabin was perfect, the location is great, hot water, comfortable beds, sauna pod, hot tub. There was still some snow left on the ground so it made for the most beautiful landscape to look at while in the hot tub. Everyone we sent pictures to said , “where is this?” Will definitely be back!

The house and surroundings are absolutely incredible. We used the hot tub every night. The location was perfect for the different surrounding hikes and getting to Logan quickly. A note to future guests that they do not provide basics in the kitchen, so bring your own oil, spices, etc. if you're cooking. Also would be great if the host provided a broom/dust pan, baking pans, and a couple of extra kitchen dish towels, so perhaps ask for those before arrival. Overall a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!!

We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at The Rocky Villa. We were really impressed with the waterfalls. The picture of the water doesn't do it justice. Wish we had more places to dry our towels and clothes in the house and the freezer was dirty because something exploded previously and not cleaned up. We tried our best to clean it. The sauna was a little tricky until we read the on-line manual. The hot tub was nice and clean. Overall the house and property set-up is amazing and we would rent it again in the future!

Fabulous! Perfect place to relax.

We went with another couple to hike Hocking Hills. The Rocky Villa is perfect for two couples. We both had our own beautiful bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well appointed. We loved that they had our favorite Starbucks coffee for the Keurig. We enjoyed the hot tub after hiking all day. The barbecue worked out well since they are not many restaurants around Hocking Hills. The property was so private. Honestly one of the nicest rental units we have ever stayed in! More hooks are needed.

Beautiful property with communication issues

The property was clean and the atmosphere was wonderful. We did have a septic tank alarm that went off for several hours of our last vacation day and the communication between the office, maintenance staff, and septic repair man to us about how long it would last, if it was still functional, and the time for repair could have been better. The property manager was able to resolve our concerns the following day and did provide for the time the property was not available to use due to the alarm

My family & I spent an extended weekend out at Hocking Hills & The Rocky Villa. We arrived after dark & accessibility to the property was easy to find despite spotty cell service once your down in the holler. We had question about turning on the sauna late on our arrival night & the host responded very promptly through the app. Additionally, the well prepared digital property manual describes the process very succinctly. The furniture & fixtures are all top quality, new & seemingly we were the 1st to use! The gas fireplace place puts off great heat once it warms up. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows & kitchenware for usage. We were thoroughly impressed with the property & would recommend to anyone. One suggestion, which could have a silver lining, is there is no washer & dryer. Thus, pack accordingly.

This place was the PERFECT getaway! Felt like we were in a treehouse in the middle of the woods. It’s so quiet and peaceful, just the sound of birds and the running water from the creek on the property. I absolutely loved sitting on the deck drinking my coffee in the morning and listening to the birds. We used the hot tub and the sauna during our stay, as well as the fire pit in the evenings. Such a luxurious feeling stay with all the amenities and decor of the home. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. Can’t recommend this place enough! I booked this trip with my sister for a long weekend getaway and I already can’t wait to book another trip with my husband!! There’s so much hiking to do in the area, it’s a perfect location if you’re looking for a quiet weekend. The WiFi was reliableii, but highly recommend unplugging and simply enjoying nature!
