The home was very clean. Had all the amenities we needed for a great weekend. The hot tub is a nice added feature to look out early in the morning and late evenings for beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

We did have a great relaxing time. The house was well stocked in all rooms. Loved the labels on the kitchen cupboards and drawers. There were a few things not so great, several items for preparing and cooking food were dirty. A couple items had dried food stuck on them. One of the cupboards had food scraps in it. Yuck! Several stained towels. Animal hair on several things. I guess I didn’t read it was animal friendly. My fault. Pillows on window bench had stains. Up stairs shower sprayed out all over the top. All in all it is a very nice comfortable house. Just wanted to point out a few things that you can address. Thank you!!

Stunning view and well stocked with anything you could need. However, the property could use some upgrades. The big stuff like furniture is fine, but small things like towels, waste baskets, etc. could be replaced for a more positive experience.

Family getaway

Nice place. Two bedrooms down stairs each with a door outside. Main living area and third bedroom up stairs. One thing didn't see from other reviews I might have missed it is that there is rock steps down to the beach this made is easy to take the kids down.

Great Spot for Family

This location was perfect, situated directly on the beach. The apartment was spacious and very welcoming, a super cute vibe. Lots of puzzles and board games to hang inside when it was raining and the owner provided extra details around the place to make you feel cared for. Ex. Extra soaps, towels, laundry baskets, a good amount of utensils and spices in the kitchen, and some beach gear. It was very considerate and we will definitely be renting this again!

Heaven On Earth!

It doesn't get any better than this! Right on the beach, beautiful sunsets, and getting to watch the ocean and sunset from a hot tub. Very clean, spacious and perfect for all of us. It was hard to leave here. Would HIGHLY recommend this place. Will def be back!!!

Family trip

Such a cute house with the best view. Not much to do in Rockaway beach but the house is worth driving the extra miles to Cannon Beach or Seaside for the day. Will stay here again.

Great view

We were mesmerized by the view. The decor was bright and cheerful, and the layout of the house was comfortable. We knew it was a pet friendly home, but were admittedly surprised by the amount of hair still left on all the furniture. The house could use a much needed deep clean. We did find the listing slightly misleading with the images of the hot tub, as there was no hot tub. Because of the slightly misleading marketing and the cleanliness of the house I feel it was overpriced with all the additional fees. Over all it was a nice getaway that we used to accomplish a couple big work projects that required deep concentration with no distractions.

Fabulous location

We had the best time at this beautiful beachfront property. Loved waking up and watching the waves roll in. The rooms were so comfortable and the kitchen had absolutely everything you could need.

Perfect location on the beach

Overall a great stay with perfect view and location. There isn’t a great area for lounging on the couch As the living room is very small. but that’s about it for faults. It’s a we’ll stocked kitchen, great view, easy beach access and dog friendly.

Excellent location.

Best pet friendly beach access ever. Comfortable for about 5 or 6 plus dogs. Not perfect, you definitely pay for that beach access, but we'll probably be back.

Long Weekend Getaway

Property was great location near to the shops and perfect spot on the beach. Property only lacked patio furniture and a grill to enjoy the patio .

Sandcastle in Rockaway Beach vaca rental

There was no broom, We didnt know it was a townhouse style. We thought we were getting the entire house. The shower door downstairs was broken. Weird crazy rules about animals. The house stunk. The best thing about the house was the view from the dining room. The dryer was very slow. Would not recommend. We were disappointed. Also the vacuum did not suck anything up. Please updated your amenities.

Perfect beach getaway for families

This was a perfect getaway on the coast for our family and grandparents. Great location, loved the view from the dining room and balcony and really appreciated having a bathroom for each bedroom. I would definitely recommend this place.

The only good thing about this house is the view and proximity to the beach. Keep looking!

After a long day of travel we arrived to a filthy house! We arrived at the same time as 2 20 year old guys, who were there to clean, they were done in 45 minutes and when we walked back in the only thing they had done was make the beds and who knows if the sheets were even clean. The floors had food all over them, carpets dirty, couch and dining cushions had stains, the patio screen was ripped and hanging. Windows were dirty and tracks full of mold. The 3 bathrooms had dirty floors and one of the bedroom door frames had a fresh bloody booger 🤢 I immediately called Vacasa and in an hour they sent out 2 different cleaners, who were also disgusted with the conditions and they took pictures and called their supervisor. After 2 hours of cleaning and remaking beds, we needed in, it was almost 7:30 and we had 2 small kids who were hungry and exhausted. The floors were not mopped and we had black feet and had to wash them every night before bed. But at least it was better. We talked to the people on the other side of the town house and they said theirs was filthy as well but they just cleaned it themselves....that is awfu! The pots and pans are terrible especially the frying pans, if you stay here bring your own! The knives are dull and we had 2 glasses, no spoons and 1 garbage bag. The cleaning service did bring us more and we’re very apologetic. I could go on and on 😡 but you get the idea, I won’t even mention what was under the cushions and couch, but they hadn’t been cleaned under in a long time! It rained one day and we looked forward to the fireplace but big surprise, the propane tank was empty. I called and was told it would be filled...it wasn’t. It is sad because this is a beach front town home and it could be beautiful but it is run down and the cleaning company is not doing a good job. I would not recommend this home to anyone. I was only refunded my cleaning fee plus 5% of the rental price. Which I do not think is fair, this home is not as it is listed and was not cheap to rent. We had to stay because the only place they offered to move us to was a run down mobile home on the highway facing the back of a building....really, we rented a beach front home. Vacasa is doing a horrible job managing this home and I am NOT a satisfied customer. Next time I will find a home that is managed by a different company. We would not let it ruin our vacation, but let’s just say it was nice to come home to a CLEAN house!

Not clean, poor response by property mgr

Very disappointing that this beach front unit was not clean when we arrived. The kitchen was not clean, for instance: dirty silverware! The dining room area was disgusting, crumbs and hair literally on every chair and on the floor too. The whole second floor was clearly not vacuumed. Also, the windows had smudges. And we were not able to check-in at 4:00pm as promised because the two cleaners weren’t done “cleaning” until around 4:15... Then, we spent the first full hour of our stay cleaning the unit ourselves. We were so disappointed with the poor cleaning that we felt we had no choice but to contact the local property manager, Sharon. The worse part of this situation was Sharon’s negative response to our concern. The tone and attitude she displayed over the phone was defensiveness and dismissiveness re: our concerns. With a dismissive tone, she said she could send the cleaners back (I let her know “thanks but we’ve already spent the last hour cleaning ourselves”). I asked Sharon if we could please have a courtesy late check out of just an additional hour to noon the next day given what had occurred but she responded with an immediate “no” because the unit was going to have the next guests checking in later tomorrow and so we needed to be out by 11:00 so they could have the time “to clean the unit.” Very ironic given the fact that we had to check in after 4:00 to a unit that was not clean for us! When I expressed to Sharon my surprise at her negative / “can’t be bothered with you” tone, she did say that she’d get me a refund of half the cleaning fee (ultimately, however, I did not receive half of the cleaning fee back but rather a smaller portion). The money isn’t the main issue here but rather the verbal representation made by Sharon which ultimately was not honored. But here are some positives about the unit: it has great beach front views, plenty of space for at least two families, and the garage was very well stocked with fun beach items for kids to play with on the beach (and the unit has easy access to the beach itself). However, unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property, it’s lack of cleanliness and the local property manager’s lack of professionalism was simply too disappointing.
