We absolutely loved all the rooms. The kitchen was well outfitted. The community gathering spaces were perfect for the family to gather and support in small groups and large. The home was clean and well appointed. My suggestion would be a bit more work on curb and yard appeal. The weather was perfect for use of the fire pit. We had a great visit. If we return we would visit again. Thank you Chris!
We spent little time at the house, but it was conveniently located for our purpose. Comfortable, but could use a bit of information about local eateries and instructions on how to use the ‘smart’ thermostat. Roomy living space for five of us.
This rental property was even better than the photos.
Communication with owner was great and the entire experience was just perfect and couldn’t ask for a better situation.
This is the second time we have stayed here with out of town family. Home is clean and comfortable. Owner is responsive and provided extra chairs and towels and made sure the driveway was plowed and there was salt for the sidewalk. He also had a Christmas tree set up which was a nice touch. Overall , great stay and would recommend.
This was a perfect home base for graduation at RIT. We had lots of space, loved the kitchen, and of course the TV in the bedroom made our son happy! Christopher was a very gracious and flexible host.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
I rarely write anything but rave reviews. However: Upon arrival, nothing had been cleared of snow (luckily, it was no more than two inches deep), the house was chilly, the bunk beds were not made, it was too dark in the entry way to see the keypad… Living room furniture needs upgrading. The windows look to be original and allow in lots of cold air, causing bedrooms to be a variety of uncomfortable temperatures (either too hot or too cold). There is a lack of some basic amenities, such as: washcloths, tissues, trash cans in bedrooms, shampoo, places to hang towels, curtains to keep out the street lights, a place in the large entry way to sit to change boots, and extra blankets (only thin quilts on downstairs beds). Only three table knives. Mattresses in the bunk room are thin and lumpy. Living room furniture is not in great condition. Aside from one message that appeared to be computer-sent, no communication from the host since three days before our arrival, and no answer to a question I sent on the day of arrival (about conflicting arrival times between the message and the listing). No information or message about how to leave the house. Typically, I go above and beyond to leave a house spic-and-span, but due to all of the above things, we weren’t sure what they wanted and were less motivated to do anything but the basic expectations. My apologies for this review if something has happened like a family emergency. That is certainly what seems may have been the case…eit
The place was excellent. Basic supplies were already available. Christopher (the host) was readily available. Bathrooms were great, plenty of hot water. I would add a grab bar in the first floor shower. I would highly recommend this place.
It was exactly as described in the listing. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in on vacation. If ever in Rochester again I know where we will be staying.
We had such a wonderful weekend at this property, my children are already asking when we can come back. The room with the bunk beds is on the upper floor and the other bedrooms were on the floor with the living room, which was fantastic for us, as the kids had their own space and we could talk/watch TV at night without disturbing them. Chris was so wonderful - making sure we had extra chairs so we could fit everyone at the table and being very flexible when a challenge came up for us with respect to timing. The house was well stocked and clean and everything seemed very well taken care of. One of the sinks was a bit clogged, but he offered to get us Liquid Plumber right away (unfortunately I didn't have internet and missed his text, so it didn't happen, but mostly my fault). If I were to make one suggestion, many VRBO homes that we've stayed in have a folder or binder recommending local restaurants, shops and activities. This would have been helpful, but we found some great spots anyways. Can't wait to go back!!!
This was a great option for visiting family in Rochester. The listing is accurate.
There were only basic kitchen supplies which was not much of an issue for us given the few meals we prepared in the house, but others may want to inquire with the owner ahead of a stay.
We had an awesome time, no complaints at all. Owner was very accommodating for us and communicative, he checked in several times during our stay. Property was very modern and close to many things (grocery stores, etc.). Would definitely stay again whenever we’re in the area!
Our family of 9 stayed for a week. The house was very clean and roomy. We enjoyed fires in the outdoor firepit with lots of seating and a great backyard for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked. The owner was easy to contact and even brought us more chairs so we could dine together. Just a couple things to know that were accurate in the description but we misunderstood. The fireplace is not a working fireplace and there is no gaming system. It is hard wired but you have to bring your own. Just an FYI . Overall this house is lovely and well worth it and we would definitely stay here again.
Great house for large/split families. Well stocked and furnished. My only complaint was not having info to get into home ahead of time. I called VRBO and the host answered right away which I appreciate. VRBO was slightly rude and wait time was ridiculous so that is why my communication rate is slightly low. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean, well equipped home in a great location. Owner was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend you stay here while in Rochester. 10 minutes to RIT and 15 minutes to downtown.
