The room was decent . Just a couple of stuff I didn’t like . I’m not sure if some of the employees washed the bed sheets since some were dirty and couple changes they should work on is changing up the breakfast options

Overall, the hotel itself was fine, but there were a couple of issues that significantly affected our stay. It took two days before we were given the Wi-Fi password, despite asking multiple times. More concerning, on three separate occasions, police officers standing right outside the hotel stopped us and asked us for money for no apparent reason. This made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe every time we entered or left the property. I understand this is not entirely the hotel’s fault, but it would have been appreciated if the staff had at least warned guests about this situation or offered some guidance. It’s something future visitors should be aware of.

Great deal for the price and location, two-minute walk and you get to West Bay Beach. The Hotel is in front of West Bay Road (easy to access and recognize). Nearby to different restaurants, shops, stores, plazas, etc. Room was clean and plenty of space. Staff was friendly and courteous all the time. Great place to stay if you're looking for a price - location deal. Breakfast was simple but ok. The hotel rooms are a little outdated it would be nice to make some improvements, have bottled water as courtesy and a designated desk to work in the room or a coworking space would have elevated the experience.

ZERO STARS! My experience at West Bay Colonial was disgraceful, largely due to Franklin, the extremely unprofessional, passive-aggressive manager. On Friday, I was checked in by an employee while Franklin stood there witnessing everything. After receiving my keys and wristband, he later falsely claimed my reservation couldn’t be found and demanded an additional $244 for a stay I had ALREADY PAID FOR! Thankfully, the wonderful owner, Hazel, intervened. On checkout day, Franklin AGAIN attempted to collect additional money, falsely alleging someone had stayed in my room throughout my visit. Another baseless accusation! As an Afro-Latina, Spanish-speaking woman traveling alone, I firmly believe I experienced racial discrimination. Franklin’s repeated attempts to charge me money I did not owe felt like deliberate targeting and attempted extortion. His behavior was insulting, dishonest, and completely unacceptable. I refuse to tolerate such treatment, especially from someone entrusted with managing a hospitality establishment. In my opinion, Franklin is entirely unfit to hold a management position. The hotel itself is severely outdated. My room was dirty, housekeeping was inadequate, clean towels were scarce, washcloths were unavailable, and the TV remote didn’t work. Hazel was lovely, but Franklin ruined this experience. I will NEVER return. I strongly caution other travelers, particularly women traveling alone!
