I spent my 50th birthday at Puerto Azul. The staff was attentive kind and made my day very special helped. My husband surprise me several times during the day. The staff is very sweet and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable the bed and the pillows were as good as mine at home so I had a very nice rest every night and every morning woke up to the beautiful ocean outside my door. The staff arranged for flowers and a sign wishing me a happy birthday in the morning when I was at breakfast I came back to a big surprise then they arranged a sunset cruise for me and then that evening they baked a cake for me.I couldn’t have asked for a more special birthday. The food in the restaurant is amazing and you’ll learn on the second day that you can’t beat the food that is just steps away from you. The restaurant was a definite added bonus. The dock just steps from your room that takes you right out over the reef is amazing. We hung out a lot just in the hammocks reading taking a dip putting on our snorkel gear and snorkeling around. You can see plenty of fish right at the dock or you can swim out a few feet to the coral reef. Amazing place.

Great staff, great food. The beach is beautiful and very peaceful and private. The bungalow rooms have small kitchenettes and very comfortable beds. Very quiet to sleep at night. Great reef to snorkel right off of the dock at this property. Included breakfast was excellent every day. Their restaurant also serves great lunches and dinners till 8pm. Free WiFi is available on the entire premises. Recommend renting a car because nothing is in walking distance from this property. There is no pool only the beautiful beach and ocean. They do have a boat on property that does snorkeling tours and sunset cruises. They do rent snorkeling gear for $15 for your entire stay and include free usage of kayaks and paddle boards. Great place to stay and family friendly. Only about 10 rooms available on site. Highly recommend!!!

We were only there for 2 nights but had a great stay in a Sea View Suite which is a standalone bungalow barely second row back and 3 seconds from the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable, bedding was top notch. We even spotted a monkey lala lizard outside, he looked like a little dinosaur. Highly recommend this property, and the restaurant is fantastic.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The room was lovely, beach was always kept clean and raked. Food was fresh and tasty and we especially enjoyed the daily breakfast specials. It was quite windy for most of our 4 day stay, but when we finally were able to enjoy some snorkel time on the reef we were extremely impressed and wanted more time to explore.

Great location in a beautiful setting. Every staff member was amazing- always friendly and willing to help. Very clean with lush landscaping. You can actually swim to the reef for snorkeling from the end of their pier. We ate almost all of our meals on site, because the food was so good. Staff is very helpful & provided great recommendations for tours and other activities. Transportation is super easy and inexpensive.

Very comfortable bed. Daily housekeeping was nice. The staff is so personable and makes you feel like part of the family. It’s a bit of a swim, but if you’re up to it, the reef is worth it it for a good snorkel.

Beautifully tucked in the well preserved and famous coral reef of Roatan. Puerta Azul is a boutique hotel providing the tranquility and essence of relation. There are few options for rooms in the gardn as well as cabins close to the beach. Breakfast is included while providing in house delicious lunch and dinner made and served by the staff. Meticulously kept beach, fantastic deck stretching into the clear ocean getting you closer the the reef. Kayak, paddle boats and snorkel gear available. Tours available right on the premises. I truly relaxing environment from the location and the team. The owners Talia and Antonio as well as all the staff made every effort to elevate the experiences to be had taking personal interest in each guest. A wonderful holiday. Thank you Puerta Azul Team!!

I'd like to take a minute to talk about how SPECIAL Puerta Azul is..Coming from Minneapolis, MN and the harsh weather and ICE(pun intended) there is light that shines thru to my ❤️ about this place. Somehow even though we had crappy weather, there are beautiful,wonderful people here. The crazy world stopped for us..and we were treated so well. They renewed us with their graciousness and everything about this place is GOOD. Talia and Antonio could not be better hosts. Noel and Rose wined and dined us. Sasha thank you for your courtesy. This place was awesome! The staff was so great and welcoming. The food is cooked by a few local ladies that are so friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect. You are close to everything but far enough away to be a little secluded. I can’t wait to come back!

Breakfast was great and our room was cleaned every morning when we were at breakfast. Thats pretty awesome service! Great staff and were very friendly. The owner talked to us a couple times and was also very friendly and helpful. The only thing i was unhappy about is that i was charged for 2 dinners we didnt eat and some extra beverages we didnt consume. Make sure you read receipt before paying at the end of your stay.

Puerta Azul is a wonderful property in a beautiful relaxing location with top customer service and dedication. You're not far from the West End for dinners and fun but nothing beats the peace and charm of the property itself.

The staff was friendly and always available and able to help us navigate our stay. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Chef Rose made some of the best food we had on the island! The beach was clean and new deck at the end of the dock was amazing! The reef is only a few 100 feet off the dock and snorkeling was great! We would definitely recommend and return again!

Honeymoon or Holiday, this is the place, traveling solo? Make it a singular Honeymoon, I probably can't recommend this place enough,Exquisite taste, fancy shower heads ,fragrant soaps ,pristine rooms , the ever most friendly of staff, helpful and always wanting to know what they can do better ( which is not a thing), Beachfront property, paddle on a kayak or watch the sunset on the ⛱️beach ,AC , Fans, safes it's a comfortable serring surrounded by a little tropical climate jungle, great food,great staff .. The breakfast was amazing.The bar always had great drinks. The food at the facility was better than we had on other parts of the island
This was our room. It was extremely clean. House keeping came every morning while we were at breakfast and made it convenient.

This place is a gem!! The staff are amazing and the grounds are AMAZING! If you sre looking for quiet ans remote, this is the place for you. All the hustle and bussle is only a quick car ride away.
