Casa Mindoro is a Bali-styled 3 bedroom tranquil getaway, right on the beach, with incredible unobstructed 180-degree ocean views from the wrap-around screened porch. Enjoy resort amenities including pool, restaurant and dive shop right outside your door. The home has been completely remodeled in 2022 with new kitchen, baths and finishing. Sit back and soak up paradise, on the resort’s private beach — with spectacular scuba diving and snorkeling right offshore.

The wide open main living and kitchen area, like the rest of the house, is characterized by a beautiful exposed wooden beam structure. The design brings the ocean breezes in and naturally cools the house. A set of rich louvered mahogany doors slide out of the way, bringing the outside in. The two main bedrooms open directly to views of the sand and surf.

Other things to note:

Because of the very high electricity rates in Roatan, (5x that in the US), we have set 35 kw-hr allowance per day. That allowance has been more than sufficient for us and for virtually all of our guests, if there is excessive usage over the allowance there will be an overage charge of $0.50 per kw-hr, the rate charged by the electrical supplier.

We had the most wonderful time staying at Judy’s Bali inspired bungalow. Full ocean view and just steps from the house. The screened in porch meant that we enjoyed every evening outside in comfort. Well stocked kitchen with lots of linens and a washer/dryer. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be looking to come back again. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Best place we've ever stayed!

This beautiful property is exactly as described. We spent 2 weeks here in December/January with our adult children. Every morning we had coffee on the porch looking at the ocean and listening to the waves. The kids went diving with the dive shop right at the resort. We had security around the clock and always felt completely relaxed and peaceful. It is a beautiful place and we would love to return someday!

What a great visit

We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family to spend Thanksgiving week. The home was perfect. Coffee on the screened in porch overlooking the ocean every morning was indescribable. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean.The staff were friendly, the restaurant was great, and the dive shop took my kids and I on some incredible dives. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A tropical getaway!

It's a great location to relax and enjoy Roatan's natural beauty. Our family enjoyed all the available activities within walking distance of the bungalow. Overall, very peaceful and relaxing!

Quiet, private area

Our stay at Casa Mindoro was perfect for our family. We appreciated the quiet, private beach, along with the pool and restaurant that were steps away. Neighborhood was gated with security that was always visibly present which made us feel very safe. The house was the perfect size for our 5 family members and had everything we needed. We were there during "hot season" apparently, and there was not a lot of wind to cool down the house, but that's something that can't be avoided. Judy was helpful before the trip with answering my questions, and Salome responded to my questions about Roatan very quickly.

Everything we hoped for

Our stay in Casa Mindoro was everything my kids and husband and I were looking for. Very clean, had all the essentials we needed. Judy was very helpful with her arrival info packet and help if you needed anything fixed. The breezes are amazing to cool down the house. Very nice being screened in on the deck, not everyone had that. Having the pool & restaurant steps away was great for our family. We felt very safe and comfortable. Had a couple insect / gecko visitors but to be expected. The annoying ones were the little ants but they don’t do anything much except try and get into everything. Cleaning lady booked ahead did a great job. Overall it was a super trip! Would highly recommend this unit. Thanks for having us hope to come back again one day. L

Fantastic

House and location in Palmetto Bay are excellent. Beachfront while being nestled in a Jungle setting (the pictures look nice, but even better in real life). On site dive shop is a great small dive operation that makes it really easy to enjoy the dives and the location. Definitely recommend this place for a quiet, relaxing vacation.......The house is really nice and both the owner and on-site manager are very responsive.

Beautiful bungalow and property!

This bungalow is beautiful, as is the property. Salome, the property manager, was very quick to reply and take care of one minor issue. The pictures on the listing are very accurate - the property and views really are that stunning! Every employee on the property was friendly and helpful. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely place *** BUT***

We had a very nice time. The house was very nice . Sheets were terrible. We would given 4+ rating except for the fact .. the day we were to arrive, the owner sent us an email telling us we had limited RECO (electric) This was NOT in the write up or in the rental agreement. We both felt like we were misled. We were/are terribly upset. My husband is use to sleeping with AC .. be was forced to endure the humidity the entire night, for a very long week A huge storm came through, we had the house locked down because of the high winds and torrential downpours.. with LIMITED electricity because of the rules the owner put in place. We had wanted to stay at Pristine Bay, but chose Palmetto Bay because of the electricity not being a part of the rental agreement. We felt like we were baited and switched. Then... they had a camera at the front door of the house, we felt spied on, like you would your teenagers .. not late 50s adults. . We would NOT recommend this home nor would we stay here again.

Beautiful Property

Casa Mindoro was absolutely perfect. My wife and I stayed for a week, and could not have loved the house more. We wanted to be away from crowds and chose to stay at Palmetto Bay because of this. We rented a car, and would absolutely recommend doing so as Palmetto is a little bit of a drive from some of the more popular beaches on the island. However, it is the perfect location to see all of the island as it is very centrally located. The house itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would absolutely stay again!

great place wonderfull stay

The location was perfect. The dive shop was really great. the people were very nice. We met our neighbors diving. The inside of the bungalow was spot less and all in good condition. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Sand flies were rather abundant but the island had just had some major rain so that is to be expected. We did have to use our A/C at night because it was in eighties and the wind dripped out in the evening. A/c is an additional charge, I have not received the bill hope it isn't too much. They should out on the listing tht the A/C is additional up front. There were lots of dogs and cats for adoption. They were cute and friendly some slept on the porch. We did not allow them in the house although they tried. Close the door fast. Overall I highly recommend this bungalow it's killer views and location to anyone Thank you I had a great time
