「The host was amazing, quick to reply to any questions we had. The home was very modern and cozy, we enjoyed the snacks and breakfast bar food they provided.」

「Cecelia was a very accommodating host. Even though we had a language barrier, we used translation apps. She gave us pointers about local attractions and food. The facility is exactly as advertised in the listing. Nice little cottage style rooms.」

「The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!」

「My family of 4 with a toddler stayed in Apt 104. The accommodation was well appointed, very clean and the view from the balcony was great. The hotel is a bit dated (still) but the staff are very friendly, we enjoyed the pool. It was a lovely stop and 2 night stay.」

「I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning.
