"My boyfriend and I were new to camper van life and we found Van Del Sol to be an amazing first experience! "We were "upgraded" shortly before our one night stay to this room without a window. It didn't matter for us because we weren't there except to sleep, but it wouldn't be a place I'd want to spend more than one night. The location is excellent. The hosts are very easy to reach. "We loved every minute of our stay at El Colonial. Because we booked through Expedia (we think?), we had access to the unlimited open bar in reception, but the main perk of that was the bartenders! Friendly, knowledgeable, interesting -- talking to the bartenders and hearing about PR was literally the highlight of our trip. Also, wonderfully, the way the light hit our particular room meant that, in the mornings, there was a camera obscura projection of the street outside onto our roof! 100/10 (because of the staff!)"

"The Armas hotel sits on the Plaza de Armas of San Juan, the city's historic main plaza. You can beat the amount of historical and cultural things to see and do that staying at this hotel provides. In addition, there are a wonderful array of restaurants in Viejo San Juan walkable from the hotel. As the old city can be heavily trafficked with tourists by day and night, the Armas hotel provides a quiet escape when one needs some time to regroup. It is clean, well climate controlled, and comfortable."
