"We rented one with a kitchen, it was nice to cook your own meals. However, the stove vented into the kitchen (hot as hadies) when we were cooking. The cabin got so hot we had to open the windows and door to get the food smell out and the heat. The oven would not stay lit. No cooking oil, no spices, no tongs, missing a few necessities in our opinion. The shower didn't drain well (rock bottom like a river bed, nice idea, but the pitch wasn't right and it would puddle water). No counter top space in the bathroom, at all. The window AC was worthless, froze up and made noises all night then puddle water on the table under it. You definitely will track in what ever is outdoor to the inside. The firepit was excellent, but you will need to bring chairs, as there is only a picnic table. No real food at the grocery shop, and the nearest one was shady cove, 30min+ drive. No wifi really (but the intent is to enjoy nature and the surroundings), so we didn't mind. Overall, it was a fun experience and there are tons of trails, waterfalls, and things to see and do. We had a great visit."
The Green House - Minutes from the Entrance to Crater Lake National Park
10/10 Excellent
"This cottage is a perfect jumping off point for visiting crater lake. The kitchen is exceptionally well supplied with cooking utensils. Bring your own food because the nearest large grocery is in Klamath falls. There is no dish washer, so you may want to plan for simple meals. The fenced back yard was great for our dog. The owner is very clear and timely with communications. We will definitely return!"
"The Red Blanket Cabin is a fantastic place. The woodworking is masterful. The amenities are first class. The landscaping is beautiful. It is very private. They even have an expansive collection of vinyl LPs."
"MaryAnna was very communicative and made the check-in and check-out process easy. She provided helpful information and suggestions about the area and things to visit. We especially enjoyed the quiet location on the ranch for the starry skies, watching the sunset over the Cascades and the close proximity to Crater Lake. Thank you!"
