「This is a wonderful historic property if you're into a vintage stay. We were. The home is lovely. The only disadvantages are not having a host on-site and having to get luggage up the stairs without an elevator or bellhop assitance; there are no bedrooms on the ground floor. And being vintage, it takes quite a while to adjust the temperature to where you want it. Also, it would be helpful to have television instructions; we were never able to figure out how to get anything on the TV.」

「The Scholar's Cottage was one of the most well-rounded VRBO homes we've stayed in. It is a charming, old home with character, lovingly updated where it matters for comfort, in a quiet, green and safe neighborhood. The bed (King) was very comfortable, and the linens and towels were high quality. The home was very clean. Keurig coffee maker with Keurig pods in the kitchen for your morning coffee. We only spent two nights but would definitely consider staying there again if we are in RIchmond....

「We had a great time at this 1940's built Mid-Century Modern Classic. The house architecture was amazing and the grounds are impressive. We had plenty of room inside and outside for a large group. There are several large gathering areas inside the home so lots of space to be with others or to have some time to yourself. I enjoyed the awesome stereo and my 5 year old grandson had the TV figured out and working in about 2 minutes. We were in town for a wedding and it rained on our "free" day,...

「This is an amazing place to stay! We were in the area for parent's weekend at Miami College and this was a perfect location. The little coffee/tea bar was so nice and well stocked! The kitchen was clean and had lots of supplies. Bathroom has lots of towels and other nice touches. We would definitely stay here again.」

「Our second stay for a family cemetery project.Nice safety improvements since we visited - a railing on the steps to the second floor, a grab bar and mat for the tub.The atmosphere feels homey despite some quirks as a result of the home’s age.Easy stay.」

「The house was fantastic. Very clean, lots of beautiful Nick nacks and such a great host!」

「Great communication. Great place to stay.I would stay there again.」

「Absolutely perfect in every way. So very clean and home was restored to absolute perfection. Host gave us food ideas in the area that were 5 Star. We were greeted with cinnamon rolls upon our entry that set the precedent for the perfect stay. Truly cannot say enough of this lovely home. Definitely a keeper for our future itinerary travels. 」
