Our stay was fine overall, but there were quite a few issues that made it less enjoyable than we hoped. The air conditioner made a loud *boom* sound every time it turned on and off, which was especially disruptive at night. When we arrived, the bottle of Dawn dish soap at the kitchen sink was completely empty. I let the owner know, and their only response was, *“Let me know if you’d like me to bring some.”* I felt a more proactive approach would have been appropriate. There was also a leak from the fridge when using the water dispenser — bad enough that we had to soak up the water with several small towels any time we used it. The owner said they’d get someone to fix it *after* we left, which didn’t help us during our stay. The back gate didn’t function well either. The temporary fix was a bungee cord, which was awkward to use. The back sliding door with a curtain that didn’t slide easily was difficult to use.As for the location — it was fine, but a bit worn and rough around the edges. There are definitely more charming areas to stay and I’d search a little harder for something nicer.Overall, the visit was okay, but between the disruptive noise, maintenance issues, and a generally “just okay” atmosphere, we probably wouldn’t return.
