No 6 Swallowholm Cottages is set in a small hamlet in picturesque Arkengarthdale, just 4 miles from Reeth and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Approached along a short farm track and surrounded by magnificent scenery this Grade II listed terraced cottage dating back to the 1800s has been renovated to a great standard, retaining all of the original features and character whilst also offering contemporary appliances and furnishings. Situated over two floors, there is an open plan living space on the first floor which allows you to enjoy fabulous views right across the river and dale. The kitchen area is well-equipped and well designed to make the most of the space on the first floor. The living area is comfortable and well furnished throughout. The wood burner is a super feature too, perfect for those cosy, romantic nights in. On the ground floor there is a very well presented kingsize bedroom with more fabulous views of the Yorkshire Dales. A good quality en-suite bathroom completes the picture. Perfectly located for couples wanting to enjoy a special, romantic break, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, No 6 Swallowholm Cottages is hidden away and surrounded by countryside. There are many walks right from the doorstep and the local 18th century inn serves excellent food and is just a short stroll away. The popular market town of Reeth has everyday shopping, craft shops, pubs and tea rooms and lies just over 3 miles away. Richmond with its Georgian theatre, along with Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away. Arkengarthdale is a truly unspoilt corner of Yorkshire with walks from the doorstep across hills and moorland, or make a journey over the Stang to the market town of Barnard Castle. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Last minute decision to book. Everything we needed for a short stay. Location was good, very quiet, easy to find and negotiate our way through sheep field. No mobile phone signal, but landline available if needed. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility due to stairs.
