Alex checked us in quickly and immediately sorted out a problem with our key, he also had some useful tips on where to eat.
The villa is wonderfully isolated (if you want to live on top of other tourists then this isn’t the place for you), quiet, rural, has big views and yet also 5 mins drive to shops and Stegna beach - with lots of great restaurants and a relatively quiet beach.
The position of the villa is slightly unusual (close to some commercial/light industrial units) but we never heard a peep from them.
The garden is full of wildlife, my 6 year old daughter loved checking out the insect life and spotting lizards, so it’s perfect if you have a budding Gerald Durrell.
The pool is a huge plus, we took a day out from the beach and had a pool and sunbed day. I caught up on my reading, there was always a part of the garden in shade to cool off in.
The bedrooms are all spacious and the AC was great for ensuring a cool nights sleep.
The only thing we recommended that could be added was a small electric oven, we never got round to using the wood fired oven, but other people obviously had.
We’d certainly stay again and would recommend it.
