The Space:
The apartment is suitable for up to 6 people. With 3 private bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, toaster and a seating area with a flat-screen smart TV and free Wi-Fi.
In the living room and one of the bedrooms you have a nice view over the rainbow street.
Please notice that this apartment is located on the 2nd floor in a building with no elevator.

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is situated in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on the so-called rainbow street, right by the main shopping street and adjacent to the renowned Hallgrímskirkja church. The area is bustling with a bundle of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars, making it an ideal location for those exploring the city without a car. All major attractions are within walking distance, offering unmatched convenience.
Take a leisurely stroll along Reykjavik's scenic seaside and visit notable landmarks such as the Sun Voyager and Harpa, a renowned cultural and social hub at the city’s core.
Begin your day at Pósthúsið Mathöll, a vibrant food hall, or one of the many cafés and bakeries downtown, before delving into Reykjavik’s rich history at local museums like the Settlement Exhibition or the National Museum of Iceland.
As you wander down Laugavegur, the city’s main shopping street, you'll find an assortment of high-end boutiques and shops featuring unique, locally designed, and produced Icelandic goods—perfect for discovering one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
Getting Around:
Most city attractions are within walking distance! There is great pick up and drop off for tours or airport transfer just a few minutes walk away at the Culture House, bus stop number 6.
Nearby we have ample bus lines for getting around the city.
Other Things to Note:
Most of the area surrounding the apartment is P1 parking zone, which is very expensive. The street in front of the building is a pedestrian street only and closed for car traffic. Parking in this area downtown is in short supply but is possible to find, mostly at a fee but there is a free parking lot by the school close by Hallgrímskirkja. We can not guarantee that you'll find available spots there, especially during the day while the school is open.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to Iceland, which covers issues as delayed baggage, travel accidents, weather trip cancellations and emergency overseas medical. EU members can use their European Health Insurance Card in Iceland (medical expenses).
