Nice, modern, well appointed hotel in a historical building at the Northern end of central Reykjavik (close to the Harpa concert hall, a few minutes walk from Lækjargata, where one of the Flybus shuttles stops). Much of Reykjavik is easily walkable from this location. Comfortable rooms with good amenities. Pleasant and reassuringly expensive restaurant (though not terribly expensive for Reykjavik and there are somewhat more cost effective options within a few minutes walk if needed). The only improvement would be more communal space and a better bar downstairs but that is difficult to do given the layout of the building. Recommended.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Amazing location but the hotel is a bit dated. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety on offer
Great stay, as expected from the Radisson team. The gym is more robust than most in Reykjavik. The front desk is promp and helpful. They were able to store our bags for 3 days free of charge. Lovely cafe in the lobby. The rooms are quite spacious.
It is a touch loud outside.
There was no A/C on a warm day. The window had to remain open for cool air at night. Then the street noise was a problem on a Friday night until 2:00 am.
Staff was very nice, water was provided in your room.
The staff locked up out bags for us before and after our staff. So helpful!

The location was great! But the hotel and rooms were tired and need updating. The hallways have old and faded black and white carpeting and the rooms need redecorating. Beds were a little soft. The buffet breakfast.was sensational.
The Radisson’s location is excellent - in terms of availability to restaurants and the shorefront…but, as others have noted, the street noise is constant and LOUD, especially if your room is located on the frontside of the building. The staff are very helpful, polite, and accommodating. The rooms are generously large with high ceilings but, beware - heat is cheap in Iceland and the rooms are quite hot with little chance to balance the temperature to your liking. The shower/tub was several inches above the floor, which made stepping out with wet feet something of a challenge. (Given the number of grey-haired Viking cruise passengers that stay here, it might be more or less of an issue.). We did enjoy our stay with the hotel and still recommend it…just bring earplugs.
Wonderful hotel, great location in the heart of Reykjavik. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We ended up booking the hotel for additional nights at the tail end of our trip!
Clean room, breakfast was great and the front desk staff LUCA was really very helpful.
Employees like LUCA make a massive difference. Please recognize for her hard work.
