The cabin exceeded our expectations. The description of the bedrooms was accurate, but made the cabin seem much smaller than it felt. The livingroom had seating for 6, there were 6 stools at the kitchen dinette counter, and the screened in porch held 4 more comfortable chairs. (Plus the outdoor seating around the fire, the hammock, etc) It would be close quarters for non-family members perhaps, but we hope to come back with our family and share in the unique privacy this island provides.
The full kitchen meant there was plenty of room for foodstuff. That also meant we could cook indoors, or outdoors on the grill or over the fire (which has a really nice cooking grill that swings over the firepit easily).
The water tasted good, and wasn't the "gross well water" you sometimes find at remote cabins. Also, the cabin had air conditioning, heaters in the bedrooms, a 40" flatscreen smart TV (with Netflix), and satellite-based WiFi service that worked reliably during our visit.
The river itself is wide and easy to navigate with the small trolling motor on the pontoon boat. If you look at the guest books, there are a few maps pointing out good fishing spots. We didn't notice those until after we'd been out on the boat, but next time we'll try fishing over by the bridge!
Tips:
* Bring a few large "totes" to load things in. Lots of trips with individual bags is no fun.
* The living room is very dark, especially on a cloudy day. Be prepared for that.
* Bring an extension cord or 2
