5 star rating, because I dont want to ding them. I made the mistake of not researching what I was getting into. Good for the money if you need to be in downtown reno. This is Student Housing, which they didn't go out of their way to mention. The unit itself was nice, and clean. The neighborhood (downtown Reno) is like a trashy vegas. There was dog poop in the hallways. Hallways and common areas are what you would imagine being at student housing. 2 am fire alarm pull, was not pleasant. Parking is on the poor end as well.

The property is a college residential property and it smelt of feces and urine in the hallways and common areas. Common areas look nothing like the pictures. The parking and incidental fees were unusually high. We will not be staying here again

Had trouble with getting in room. After in room 4 lights in kitchen were out. Ice maker was not working. Bathroom light when turn on kept tripping GFCI outlet. Washer was not operational. Having issues contacting Barsala. Appartment staff couldn't help to notify Barsala. When calling main office for Barsala got no reply on call back or email notification. After getting a hold of housekeeping who gave me excellent service & provided the necessary toiletries needed for the rest of my stay. Matainance personal service was also excellent by repairing all items that needed attention. As for the management staffing & corporate office I wouldn't recommend Barsala for a place to stayfor a family stay.

This was the worst place we have stayed in a long time. It's in a really bad neighborhood. Homless people asking for money when you walk out of the property. Plus as we were leaving people would watch you. We felt very unsafe! The property was disgusting! Garbage in the building. The smell in the building was horrible. Everything in the pictures is really run down because its where college kids live. The room was clean but smelled like fish. I had to open the windows and open a bottle of essential oils I brought because the smell was so bad. We also had a problem with the key not working and it took us hours to get ahold of someone to fix the issue. We had to change our plans for the day because we had to wait so long for a response. They were also pushy about leaving a good review but took hours to respond when we needed help. Finding parking is really hard or you have to pay $20 a day to park but only cars. Trucks wont fit. And with the neighborhood being bad made us worry the suv would be broken into. We highly recommend you do not stay here! I tried to add photos but it wouldn't let me.

Horrible.. they canceled our room and didnt tell us.. sent us a confirmation of our reservation the day before.. so we arrived only to find out they canceled our reservation that was ALREADY PAID for and someone was in our room we drove 5 hours for this… i would never book here again and i recommend others not too!

Would recommend staying here.

The 3 room suite was great. Roomy, quiet, well appointed and comfortable. Parking was on the street (or across the street very close at the circus circus) and was a little scary if you are solo at night. The hallway carpet was stained, but the room itself was clean.

Luxurious Condos

One paned windows kept it chilly. The beds were stiff and uncomfortable. They did not blow up balloons like i asked. Location was amazing. They dont accept service animals and charge you for their stay. The door is complicated to open and didnt know how to lock it until the end of my stay. Very large condo. No free parking. Wish they had more elevators and exits. Overall, i would stay there again and knowing what i know now it'll make it easier for me to prepare and plan for the next time i visit.

Room was very clean and up to date, location and proximity to many places was very convenient. The only complaint from the family was regarding the noise level entering room from street traffic. Road was very busy during night hours. Could hear every single thing all night.

Our room was kind of far from elevators, especially for my friend who has mobility issues. The hallways were kind of dirty and had been patched kind of messily. I liked the building itself and the amenities provided.

Canyon Flats Condos are exactly as described, fully furnished apartments. The location, in the middle of downtown is convenient, and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The downside of the property is that it does not have a parking at the property. Instead, guests can park for free at the Circus Circus hotel, about 5 minute walk. It would not have been a big deal, except we had to unload and load ski equipment everyday, and it was a quite a hassle having carry them through the maze of the property. We probably wouldn't stay again during our winter vacation, but it's a good option for summer stays.

Comfy Condo

The condo I stayed in was very clean, everything in the unit worked properly, it was very comfortable, and was close to everything. Every place I went to was either in walking distance or within a 15 minute drive, super convenient. It also had a gym and lounge area one the second floor. I parked on the street and it was easy to find parks around the building. I would definitely stay here again.
