A 1-kilometer walk from the parking lot will take you to a unique cabin complex with spectacular views of the eastern part of Trollheimen. The cabin stands completely on its own, allowing you to enjoy peace and quiet as well as the views.
The location offers a taste of simple cabin life with close proximity to nature. The cabin is heated by wood-burning stoves: two modern convection stoves in the main cabin and a smaller, older Jøtul stove in the annex. The sauna and shower room are heated by a wood-fired sauna stove with a water tank. In the kitchen, the stove, refrigerator, and freezer run on gas. You can fetch fresh, clean mountain water from the well 10 meters from the cabin. Between the main cabin and the sauna is a large water tank for collecting rainwater. A powerful solar panel system is installed, providing lighting and ample charging options (both 12V and 220V).
Inside the cabin, a cozy atmosphere awaits with plenty of space for the whole family. The buildings form a courtyard that invites togetherness, and there is ample space here for activities and relaxation.
The outdoor area consists of a large plot where children can run around freely and go on adventures. A wooden playground is ready for use, and fire pits with an outdoor kitchen provide the setting for pleasant moments around the fire and at the dining table.
Trollheimen is within easy driving distance, with trips to Gjevilvatnet and the sandy beach at Rauøra or into Jøldalen toward Trollhetta and Svarthetta. The Jøldalshytta and Gjevilvasshytta tourist cabins offer food and lodging along the way. There are fishing lakes nearby, and the general store and café in Å serve waffles if you need a break.
