"There are shops nearby. We were there during the off-season so most shops closed at 4 or 5. The room was clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. The room also had a microwave and a fridge. That was awesome for leftovers and early- morning breakfasts. The only concern was the hot water didn't seem enough for 2 people to shower. We had to wait about 15 minutes between people for more hot water. The best part of our hotel was it being walking distance to the Nauvoo Temple. Since attending the temple was a key reason for our trip, that proximity was awesome!"

"We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. This trip was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done. "

"We stayed at this location because it’s nice and close to the rest of the family in town and there’s a kitchen sink fridge available for us to use to bring to the family gathering. The house was very clean. The only concern was the upstairs shower. It was clean, but this is an older home and it seemed that the floor underneath the tub was spongy."
