"Great staff and the renos are really professional. We had 3 rooms. One person did not like looking at the roof but the other 2 rooms were top rated...Balcony and I had a kitchenette. My room really smelled of stale cigarette smoke despite the signs...I did tell the staff. That was our only negative.... We loved our stay..."

"The location is excellent, and our room had a beautiful ocean view. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the ongoing sewer repair and construction work directly in front of our room. The unpleasant smell made it difficult to enjoy the balcony, and the construction noise was disruptive. To make matters worse, our room’s water supply was interrupted for approximately two hours. We suspect the construction may have accidentally damaged a water pipe, as the issue seemed to go unnoticed until the water stopped flowing. This happened just after we returned from a long hike, leaving us unable to use the bathroom or shower when we needed them most. We appreciate that the staff were apologetic, but we felt that offering only a bottle of hand sanitizer was inadequate given the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced. We believe some form of additional compensation would have been a more appropriate gesture. While the location and ocean view were great, the construction-related issues significantly affected our stay. We hope management will take this feedback seriously and consider how to better support guests when unexpected disruptions occur."

"This is my second trip to the farm and it was more enjoyable than the last! I even rode a horse for the very first time! The owners are lovely and make you feel at home. They have always been very responsive to any question I've had. The tour is lots of fun and you get to interact with a bunch of different farm animals. The animals are all very sweet, too!The place is very cute and clean, with a unique setup. They also leave delicious breakfast items and provide tea & coffee. It's roughly a 15min drive to the ferry and a short drive to most places you need to go.It's a unique place with a lot of charm. Nice smart TV, comfy couch and very comfortable bed! I look forward to staying here again in the future and seeing the animals!"

"We had a fantastic stay at Painted Boat Resort. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a two-bedroom unit, which was especially appreciated since we were travelling with our infant. Having the extra space made the stay so much easier. The view from our unit overlooking the marina was absolutely stunning. It was incredibly peaceful, which was perfect when we needed to let our baby nap. The unit itself was beautiful and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and a loft. Our upgraded unit could comfortably accommodate up to eight people. You can tell some of the renovations and finishes are probably 15–20 years old, but everything was still very nicely maintained and felt comfortable and high quality. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen, which made travelling with a young child much more convenient. The location is a big part of the appeal. If you’re looking to get away from the city, relax, enjoy the marina, and spend time outdoors, it’s a beautiful place to stay. There are lots of hiking opportunities nearby. Once you get past Gibsons and Sechelt, though, there isn’t a whole lot to walk around and explore in terms of shops or restaurants, so it’s definitely more of a destination for enjoying nature and relaxing. We even heard that a grizzly bear and her three cubs had been spotted in the area during our stay, which was both really cool and a little terrifying!"
