"Das Achat-Hotel liegt zentral am Bahnhof, ist aber trotzdem recht ruhig. Die Zimmer sind gross, sauber, aber in die Jahre gekommen, die Tiefgarage ist zu eng für grosse Fahrzeuge, aber es gibt hinter dem Hotel einen günstigen Parkplatz. Angenehm fanden wir die Möglichkeit, Wasser in Glasflaschen abzufüllen und aufs Zimmer zu nehmen. Der Wochenendpreis war sehr günstig."

"Room was great, very clean but a strange layout. A bit of a maze to get from our room to the reception area. Had a high ceiling, almost looked like a refurbished hospital, but nicely maintained. Excellent location, close walk to town centre and Christmas markets. Parking was convenient and free."

"Home from Home and more!Very spacious and well epuipped holiday home. Ideal for 2 couples. The house was big enough to give each other space when needed.We appreciated the personal touch from our hosts Bernie and Jochen. They where always available without being intrusive. Also loved meeting their dog Laurie in the garden when he came to say hello. There was plenty of space in the drive to park the car safely, secured by a automatic gate. The property is situated in a traditional and charming palatinate wine area, very close to Neustadt a d Weinstrasse, with plenty of restaurants, cafe's, bars and shops. There where also some traditional and charming restaurants within walking distance from the property. We enjoyed walking through the vinyards to visit a wine 'Kerwe' in Mußbach (with live music, local foods and wine) and the wine lounge 'Unique' at the Königsbacher Winzer. We stayed at Residenz Herrengarten beginning of August and the weather became very hot. Fortunately the tall trees in the garden and the position of the house provided a good amount of shade.All in all, we had a very nice holiday and would highly recommend this place to anyone appreciating tradition, wine and lovely food. "We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this historical, beautifully appointed schoolhouse. There was such a thoughtful attention to detail every step of the way. We were greeted with fresh flower, fresh fruit and a welcome glass of local wine. Karl our host was kind, friendly and very informative. He gave us wonderful recommendations for dining and wine bar options in the area. Everything is within walking distance, and the vacation apartment is perfectly situated in a very tranquil part of the village, with views of the vineyards and the breathtaking castle."
