Location is great. I would stay here again. The place is steps from all the West Reading hot spots. The property is a little dated. The front desk person was very kind and efficient. We were here to enjoy West Reading and attend a wedding. Nice kitchen and pretty good sized full fridge if you next a reasonable place to stay for an extended stay.

The staff was very good but the hotel needs upgrades, as soon as I walked in the room my nose started burning from the dust and smells not just in the room but also in the hallways. The furniture was old and the floor needed replacing in the kitchen area, the bathroom toilet wasn’t cleaned. The carpet was so dirty, words can’t describe how much disappointed I was, if I could I would request a refund…

This Candlewood Suites is a slept on gem in the Reading, PA area. Walking distance to a slew of diverse restaurants, breweries and grocery stores. Attentive staff who went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable with settling in for a few days. Free coffee, gym, laundry, fast wifi and free rental of games, books and other kitchen appliances; they’ve thought of everything. Would recommend it over the fancier hotels that I’ve stayed at before in the area.
