A lovely place to stay with just enough that you need right around it. We were able to do our laundry at the laundromat in the same parking lot (seemingly the only laundromat in southern Iceland) and were recommended by the desk staff to get some delicious pizza at the gas station restaurant across the street. The room was nice and affordable for Iceland, and the complementary buffet breakfast was amazing. The staff was so nice and helpful as well.
We even saw the northern lights from the entrance!

Hotel is new, everything is clean and fresh. The location isn’t bad, there’s a kronan right there. The hotel lobby and vibe is 5 stars, the rooms are 4 stars. One of the best hotels during my time in Iceland

The staff at Hotel Loa were amazing and were able to cater to all our needs. Our room was immaculate and a lovely view over the surrounding fields to the back when the sun made an appearance. The bar and restaurant at the hotel were great after a full day of exploring the South coast.

This is a brand new building, that needs a couple little tune-ups as they go. The bed was the most comfortable we had, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff (especially Alicia at the front) was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

This was for our first night in Iceland and what a welcome. Brand new hotel, very clean. Excellent service on every front, from check-in, dining, room cleanliness, all the way to check out. Breakfast was perfect with a lot of variety.

Instead of hopping from hotel to hotel we decided to stay in one hotel and do all the sightseeing from there. Hotel Loa is located very central in the South path. Right on highway. Good breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel looks brand new, as if it opened yesterday. Very clean, modern rooms, very good buffet for breakfast, and surprisingly good dinner. Right next to the N1 station where tour busses pick you up. Great location to set a base for exploring the south coast.
