Conveniently-located adorable home in Tuscaloosa-Lakewood neighborhood, directly behind the highly sought-after Guglehupf restaurant, as well as renowned Foster's Market and the delicious Refectory Cafe. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 4 beds, sleeps 6 people, built in 2014 by local Durham Building Company.

15-minute bike ride to Duke University Campus

Very convenient to many local shops and restaurants:
- Just a few steps away from all the restaurants on and near Durham Chapel Hill Blvd including: Guglehupf restaurant and bakery (home is directly behind it), Foster's Market (to the left of Guglehupf), Refectory Cafe (to the right of Guglehupf), Saltbox Seafood, Biscuiteville, The Original Q Shack, Nana's, The Boot Room, Thai Cafe, and more.
- Nearby shops also include furniture stores, clothing stores, Wine Authorities, Book Harvest within a short walk away.
- A bit further, under a 30-minute walk, or a very short ride/drive away, you'll find The Lakewood YMCA, Lakewood Shopping Center (including a Food Lion grocery store, Lakewood Social Restaurant, Cocoa Cinnamon (Coffee shop with delicious churros!), and more.

The larger chain shops are not far either:
- A short 5-minute drive in the other direction will take you to Target, within a larger shopping center that also includes Petco, Sam's Club, Ross, Ale House and some mechanic shops. Not far from there you'll also find Harris Teeter, another grocery store.

This home is very centrally located, so feel free to ask us if you are looking for a specific spot or things to do.

This is the second time we've stayed here and we loved it again. The location is great - we walked to Guglhupf for brunch and baked items, as well as to the book store, plus walkable or quick drive to other restaurants. Eila is great, very responsive. The house is well-stocked with baby items for our new grandchild, as is the kitchen - we were able to cook much of our Thanksgiving dinner there!

This quaint, cozy house is surprisingly spacious inside and well-stocked. Check-in was easy and Eila was very responsive. Good location, quiet neighborhood, walkable to some great places to eat. A/C worked well.

Quiet get away

The house and area are great, true to pictures, only a five minute drive to Duke which is where I was going everyday while there. Very nice spot to get coffee just steps away (Guglhupf). Nice spacious bathrooms, always a plus for me!

Good location and perfect for our group

We were in town for my friend’s 40th birthday and this place was a great fit for our group of 4. Easy ride or drive into Durham. Would be great for a weekend or a longer term stay.

Very nice and clean and cozy house in an amazing neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay in this great house in this great neighborhood, walking distance to some of the best independent shops, cafe's and restaurants in Durham. surrouned by trees, and winding streets, a great place to walk the dog. The owners bent over backwards to respond to us and always helpful and considerate. The furniture, bedding, design is a clean mid-mod classy but simple and warm decor. I would recommend highly.

Central Durham House with Amazing Host

Property was neat, clean, and easy to access. Communication with host was seamless. Upstairs there are 3 sizeable bedrooms - one with king and ensuite, one queen, and one with two twins, upstairs full bath. Downstairs there is a kitchen, living area, dining area, and half bath. Quiet and in a neighborhood but simultaneously close to everything. Would visit again if back in Durham.
