「We loved the architecture of the historic lodge and its beautiful setting on the Lake. The huge public room with fireplace and leather club chairs was charming and cozy to hang out in, especially at night or a rainy day. Staff very friendly and eager to please The restaurant had quite good food and nice ambiance, though a bit expensive. Great trails both short and long, to explore the forest. 「Surprised this is listed through Expedia. This place is need of a serious update. The pictures on Experia are nothing like the real thing. Beds, toilet, shower, cabinets, landscaping are poor. The room right next to us was in total disarray, not under reconstruction, but like totally torn up. We could not even enjoy the patio without looking at this mess and the poor landscaping. We will never stay there again」

「While the grounds and lake were great (the only reason for the 3 stars) the home left a little to be desired for the price. Fan in bathroom halfway hanging out of the ceiling, doorknobs on vanity in bathroom came right off when trying to open, curtains over sliding doors were ripped off the grommets, shower head leaking and spraying everywhere, bedside light didn’t work, and outdoor motion light didn’t work. And seeing as how there are no porch lights on the side or driveway this was major. We...
