Quiet, secluded home in the country
Located on 64 acres in the center of farm fields this property offers spectacular views of wildlife. Deer can often be seen foraging from the enclosed rear patio. The enclosed front patio offers beautiful views of the sunset. There is a well equipped kitchen and also an outdoor patio with grill and fire pit for cooking out. A large pond is available for fishing. If you prefer to relax indoors there are two smart tv's and free wifi. One king size and one queen size bed offer a comfortable nights sleep. This home is also located near Ashland University , Rockin T Ranch, and Dragway 42. We are trailer friendly. Just let us know your bringing a rig. If your looking for a little peace and quiet this is the place to be. UPDATE: We now have rural water instead of well water. For those of you who have stayed with us previously you'll appreciate the difference. Note: Fireplaces have been updated with minisplits for better heating and cooling.

The property was what we expected. It is close to our kids and grandchildren which made everything so much easier for our stay. Thank you for letting us stay.
This is an older property that is very clean with tons of character. It is quiet and peaceful. The owner is super easy to work with. I would stay here again. This is a great place.
Super, beautiful place to stay. Everything is clean and they have everything you would need. Relax in the sunroom and watch the deer or walk around they pretty pond. We’ll be back for sure !
It was love at first sight! Absolutely perfect for what we needed. There was plenty of room to invite the family over for Friday night dinner and then enjoyed the spacious patio and air conditioned sunroom! We enjoyed watching the many wild life visitors and beautiful sunsets! We hope to be able to go back again.
The home is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Myself and two friends stayed here while attending Inkcarceration Music Festival in Mansfield. It was an easy 30-35 minute drive, with no traffic. It was so nice to be able to come back to a quiet and clean home to get much needed rest each night. Highly recommend!
We were in town for a family event, and the house and property worked out perfectly. We were less than 15 minutes from our cousins house.
Robb was easy to contact when I had a question about access. I was probably just tired from travel as my question was easily answered.
My next visit I hope to have time for some late night star gazing. This expansive, neatly trimmed property is probably the perfect dark sky.
I plan to stay again next we are in for a visit with family.
Thank you Robb and Tracey.
Always love this home, so relaxing to have morning coffee on the enclosed patio, watch the wildlife and listen to the trains in the distance. Also took advantage of the fishing pond on multiple days.
Very clean and felt right at home. House is dated but we thought it added to the countryside charm. Walked the property, watched nature, and enjoyed a fire on the patio.
Overall very nice - suggestions: could use a grab bar in bath 2 to get in and out of tub, needs a towel bar in bath 2, needs a nightstand in bedroom 2, and could use some outlets prepared to accept USB’s to charge phones, etc., needs better outside lighting to light up the entry sidewalk at night.
This home has always been perfect for our out of state visits with our grandchildren!! Country setting, always clean and all your essentials are provided. Any communication is done quickly and kindly. We’ll definitely be back !! Thank you !
The location was gorgeous and very peaceful. It had any and all amenities I may have needed. The decor was beautiful and made me feel right at home. Everything was simple as far as checking in and out. Definitely no hassle at all. Would love to come stay again!
We always enjoy our stay at what we call “the country resort” because it always has everything we need. Very clean, comfortable furniture and beds, kitchen is well stocked. The view from the front or back is amazing !! Relax and enjoy !!
My buddy and I came up from Cincinnati for a motorcycle adventure. Surrounded by forrest and fields, this idyllic property is on a beautiful piece of land. Truly an excellent stay.
It was amazing beautiful piece of property plenty of room for everything not liking nothing
Is a very beautiful house we really like the area everything is close to there so as long as you have groceries you can be really happy there I love the snow I looked once known the pond beautiful little pond though it was really nice place To stay we didn’t even want to leave
I was looking for a retreat-like experience before moving, and this place did not disappoint!
Pros:
-Beautiful location
-Secluded (next to a hay farm)
-Nice furniture
-Had just about everything I needed
-Owner was very responsive and solved a minor issue very quickly
-Not too far from Ashland shopping (about 20 minutes)
-Pond was beautiful (didn't fish though)
-All sorts of wildlife came by to visit
-Nice long driveway
-My Favorite Part: two beautiful porches with comfortable furniture. Glass enclosed rooms with some screens on nice days. I spent most of my time in the larger of the two porches. Because it also had a TV.
-Internet worked great!
-Clean
-Lots of bugs outside (its the time of year for them), but perhaps only a few flies inside. That really impressed me.
-Very nice outside patio with a grill. I used that a good bit. Patio also has a nice firepit with wood provided. Unfortunately it rained when I first got there, so the wood was a bit wet. I bought some starter logs to help with that.
-Nice wood burning stove in the larger porch.
Cons:
-Front door didn't feel like much of a front door. Its a nice sliding door, which must work well in a rural environment.
-Other reviewers mentioned well water. I can attest to this. Usually well water doesn't bother me much, but this stuff especially had a strong odor. Please do bring bottles of water with you.
-Not all the doors/windows in the porches had screens to them. Would have loved to have them opened. (to be fair, the ones that did have screens had very nice screens with no large holes for bugs and critters to get in)
-Wasn't able to use the fireplaces (they needed to be cleaned), but at least there was a note in the fireplaces telling me that.
Overall: This is a great stay. I would absolutely recommend it to most people looking to get away from more populated areas. I hope to be back.
Easy to find. Seen Deer. Very Roomy. Has every thing you need. Two Bedrooms with Full Bathrooms at opposite ends of the house. Nice, Big, back yard with patio!
This house was very clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable as were the living room couches. It is very quiet and secluded. Exactly what we were looking for! We enjoyed the back patio until it was too hot and retreated into the comfortable house. We enjoyed watching a variety of birds fluttering around. Didn’t get to see any deer, but we saw them on nearby properties, so I am sure it was just a matter of timing for us. The only downfall was the well water for us city folks. It had a sulfer-like odor. We overcome that with some bottled water from Dollar General, which is less than a 5 minute drive. All your grocery needs could be met there. Plus Ashland is only 15 minutes away for many dining choices. Easily a place we would stay again.
