Great location and Breakfast and the afternoon drinks and canapes was excellent. Staff lovely and it was a pleasure to get back and put the feet up after exploring beautiful Queenstown. The restaurant Tamarind is excellent and worth having a meal at.

We absolutely adore this place and after terrible experiences and stays in Auckland a couple of weeks ago we've had our faith in kiwi hospitality restored by your team! I travel a bit domestically with work staying at quality hotels, i must say The Spire hotel beats them all. I literally can't fault the hotel and its staff. The open fire place, the size of the room, large shower with a separate bathtub, even the bed, wow, the best nights sleep ever on the softest mattress I have ever experienced at a hotel. Without a doubt I will be coming back and staying at The Spire Hotel.

We had an absolutely sensational stay at The Spire. The team was really friendly and helpful. Our stay had some fantastic inclusions including daily breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, mini bar and access to a local gym. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Sleek hotel, some rooms with balconies and fireplaces. Well stocked, fairly priced mini bar. Excellent staff, everyone was professional, helpful and knowledgable, a rare find in these times! Wonderful breakfast onsite and we also enjoyed the 8 course chefs menu at the onsite restaurant, No5 Church Lane. It was a memorable meal, the best we had in NZ. Bartender Jacob definitely went above and beyond as a server, as well. We will most definitely return to The Spire and highly recommend!

Extremely convenient location, spacious room and very hospitable employees. Overall I loved this place and would stay again. What I think they could do to improve is replace carpeting with hardwood floor and rug under bed. Some areas of carpet looked stained and cleaned but not as inviting. That’s it… update that and you have a super classy comfortable accommodation.

Stayed for 4 nights in February. Two things that make a good hotel into a great hotel. The staff and the bed. Such wonderful folks who work there, kind, patient, and they genuinely wanted help. I had a few issues with moving the booking by a couple of days due to illness and they went above and beyond my expectations to help out. And the beds are a comfortable as any hotel I have ever stayed in. I’ve stayed all over the world and this is as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

The spire is ideally located close to restaurants, room was very spacious and well appointed. Comfortable bed and linens. shopping etc. check out Patagonia ice cream—great ice cream and unbelievable value. The staff were all very nice. Breakfast was very good but service is slow. We had booked the hotel restaurant—Tamarind #5 for dinner but our trip to Milford returned 30 min later than anticipated (7:45) and chef and kitchen staff left so we never got our “free dinner” that was included when we booked. Everything else was very good. They helped us arrange a private tour with a local driver. I would stay there again but be sure to eat early. Botswana Butchery is great steakhouse—good value. Queenstown should be on everyone’s bucket list—be sure to go to Milford Sound with Ashleigh in Altitude tour
