The location of this property was very convenient being in the old section of the city.
The property was very good, but if you have problems with stairs, you’ll want to request a ground floor room.
Don't hesitate to stay here ! A great quirky B&B to stay at in the old part of Quebec. The host was fantastic and very helpful. The rooms are unique and welcoming. A fantastic location. Buffet breakfast, although slightly limited on choice, was perfect for our needs, well presented, good food and plenty of it. Again a quirky but comfortable breakfast room. This hotel made our stay in Quebec perfect and complete.
The location of the hotel is prefect for exploring the old town. The room was spacious and decorated with interesting artwork and abundance of amenity. The atmosphere promoted by a generous and cheerful host was convivial. Access to a terrace with a view was handy for relaxation. The locale is quiet and safe.
To be clear, you’re staying in an old Quebec house. If you don’t know, that means steep narrow staircases. Otherwise it was a great location with an amazing breakfast. The room was massive. The host was amazingly friendly, and we took advantage of the terrace to sit out back and enjoy a drink. Close to everything in the old town except your car, you have to park 2 blocks away.
Definitely stay there again and would recommend.
My only caution is if you have trouble with stairs and walking it’s not the place for you. (Or request the ground floor room)
From our check-in experience with our hostess, to the comfort of the beds, and location close to all we wanted to see in Quebec City, it was an excellent stay. The room was well equipped, and the property is just charming and full of character.
Would definitely come back and stay here again!
Fantastic building, original, historical Quebec property, easy& walkable to the old city sights, very friendly& accommodating host. We throughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend, Merci.

First time in a b&b. The place is nice. Room is clean. Staff is nice.
Our host was wonderful. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and were shown the room for our stay. The room was very nice and spacious. Each morning there was a good breakfast to begin our day. We will definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely stay. Great location for exploring the city. Great breakfast, easy check-in and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated in antiques. We drove in and parked in an underground garage close by. The hostess was very kind. Highly recommend this B&B for couples.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this bed and breakfast. The rooms were very large and remarkably decorated unlike the coldness of many hotel rooms. The breakfast was exceptional including a homemade coffee cake every morning. It is steps away from downtown Old Quebec.
Spacious bedroom with comfortable beds and good plumbing for an older building. Breakfast was disappointing. Had hoped to have fresh croissants and fresh fruit.
Hostess was very gracious.
We loved our stay. The property is like home away from home. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There are decorations throughout, paintings, antiques…adds a very personal touch. Our host was wonderful, she works hard at making everyone feel welcome. Also loved the breakfast offerings each morning. Was so convenient. The area is great too, convenient to so many restaurants, attractions and cafes.
This was our first trip to Quebec City, and our stay could not have been better. The hostess is so sweet, energetic, and caring. The building is a fantastic blend of antiques and original artwork. The rooms are spacious, and everything was is great working order. We loved the cute little balcony with great views. We felt right at home. The location is right in middle of everything - just a few minutes walk to the Le Château Frontenac, the Citadel, etc., but yet the street itself is very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved everything about our stay. Castel d'Amerique was without a doubt rhe best bed and breakfast we have stayed at. Rooms were huge, common areas were wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast enjoyable. No elevator but we did not mind. Our hostess Jolanta was very accommodating. We are in our 70's and from this location walked all around old Quebec City and to our cruise ship.
The bed and breakfast is in a historic building. The stairs are very steep. The room was large. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but clean. It was disappointing that there was only Roku TV, on a very small television available for the evening after exploring. The continental breakfast was freshly made and tasty.
We found the hotel to be as advertised- very beautiful, unique, artistic. The room and bathroom were very clean. We had a room with two queen beds, a bathroom, a lot of storage, and a small room that contained a fridge and a back door that lead to a balcony with chairs. The room was very quiet and comfortable. We stayed during a time of hot weather, and the a/c was great. Breakfast had plentiful options - cereals, bread, cheese, homemade coffee cake, tea, coffee etc. The property and even surrounding area required a lot of climbing, so if a guest had difficulty climbing stairs (even from the street to the main floor), this might be a challenge. My kids got a kick out of walking up the three flights of stairs to get to our rooms (no elevator), and I was glad that we had consolidated some of our luggage before arriving. The owner/manager is very nice and welcoming. I would stay there again if I visited Quebec City again.
