Totalmente desilusionada, desde el primer día. Optamos por reservar una habitación privilege y la misma no tenía ningún privilegio las habitaciones lejos, la nevera la cambiaron en 3 ocasiones la cual nunca enfrió, el aire de la habitación terrible! Se notificó y nunca funcionó era una calor insoportable. Servicio de alimentos a la habitación se demoran más de 1 hora en entregar y la misma llega totalmente fría. El persona con muy mala actitud, poca variedad de comida en los buffet. Apenas llegamos y ya no habían espacios disponibles para cenas en los restaurantes. La agencia que se encuentra en el lobby son unos buscones y mentirosos, para vender paquetes te venden sueños y cuando tienes una situación te ignoran y no te ayudan, hasta te faltan el respeto insinuando que éramos unos mentirosos. Permiten que tú trasporte de lleve a la entrada del hotel pero el día de irte no permiten que entre. En fin la primera vez que viajo a Punta Cana y tengo una especie mía tan miserable, da mucha tristeza que unos pague con sacrificio unas vacaciones para pasarlas en un lugar como este, no lo recomiendo a nadie, al menos la opinión la dejaré aquí ya que nunca recibí en algún momento ayuda por parte de este hotel.

Honestly I was a little disappointed, especially because Ive stayed at the Catalonia La Romana and loved it! But this Catalonia just fell short. The food was mediocre, the staff seemed not thrilled at all to be there, none of the online information was correct. I asked for an information brochure and they said it’s online. The hours for the buffet was wrong, the menus for the restaurants were completely changed, the entertainment schedule wasn’t accurate. These are just a few things. If you stay here ask to be on the 1st floor otherwise your room won’t get below 82 degrees F and the water doesn’t get warm. They also didn’t have enough staff for the gift shops so some would be closed when they were supposed to be open, and the employees would close earlier than the time on the door. It made it very difficult to plan things. I won’t be coming back.

Rooms are outdated. Ceiling in our bathroom leaking into tub, mold on wall outside our door in hallway, showerhead not affixed to wall, shower small, Closet slider door and slider door to get on patio very hard to open. My sister in law set up a surprise on the beach for our anniversary and they never did it, then they asked for chocolates and a banner on our door for our anniversary. They told her they did it, but they did not. My sister in laws room had sewage drip on her from the bathroom above. Staff not readily available to fix right away. Would not stay here again

Debe tener mayores actividades de música en vivo en las noches típicas de Santo Domingo. La habitación para personas con impedimentos en baño es totalmente inapropiado las losetas de la ducha resbalaban demasiado. Me entregaron una habitación que no estaba lista y al llegar esperé una hora dentro de esta hasta que terminaran un trabajo.

Good resort, 1/2 the property is renovated and other half is not. Prices for the rooms reflect that. We had lots of fun, beach and the pool were not crowded and we could always find a chair or an umbrella. Food was good and the staff was very nice and friendly. It’s a great family friendly resort.

Wow! wow! wow! Was at catalonia for 4 days and couldnt be happier with my stay, pool and beach were amazing, food was great, drinks were awesome, and the most important thing were the staff, what an amazing group of staff, couldnt of asked for a better vacation with my wife and 5 year old son. One thing that stood out was when we got to one of the dinner reservations on my sons birthday he pointed to another families table and asked for a balloon from a birthday they were having, and when we ordered desert little did we know that the whole staff came out with a nice decorated set of birthday balloons and a pierce of cake for the 3 of us and sang him happy birthday, truly the highlight of our stay, also was picked to go up on stage for a even called the sexiest man in catalonia and i was in tears from laughing so much, had a blast, would recommend.

Long overdue for refurbishment and a deep cleaning. Stinky septic smell and nothing looks like the pictures. I guess most reviews are fake? Staff is helpful but the hotel is way way understaffed (had to wait for the checkin for over an hour)

The service was good and the hotel was clean. The only bad thing is the food. It was very bland and very repetitive. I don’t suggest staying for more than 5 days because you will be eating the same thing every day.

My recent stay at Catalonia Resort was, on the whole, a delightful experience. The resort's ambiance and the staff's eagerness to assist played a significant role in making my vacation enjoyable. Upon arrival, I encountered a minor hiccup with my room assignment, but the management was quick to address the issue, ensuring that it was resolved promptly and to my satisfaction. Additionally, a leaky pipe in my bathroom could have been a dampener, but the resort's maintenance team was efficient in handling the situation, leaving me impressed with their responsiveness. The majority of the staff at Catalonia Resort were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Their approachability and assistance added a warm touch to my stay. As for the culinary offerings, the food was average – nothing to write home about, but it was sufficient and had enough variety to cater to different tastes. A quirky aspect of the resort was the presence of ducks near the pool area. While they were charming in their own right, they did tend to leave little reminders of their presence. However, this was a minor inconvenience and did not detract significantly from the overall experience. In conclusion, despite a few manageable issues, Catalonia Resort managed to provide a mostly positive experience, and I would consider returning for another visit.

We visited on the second week of April. We love the hotel. Te attention from the wait staff was excellent. They were very attentive and they made us have a wonderful time. We spent.many hours at the swimming pool bar. Jessica and Carlos at the swimming pool bat were amazing. They treated us very nicely. They are kind and very happy. They made us feel like family. The animation staff made ur day when they had the Dominican party at the beach. They lead us on how to dance merengue and bachata. We loved that in addition to the buffet restaurants they had lunch evry day at the beach, with the cheff cooking daily different types ofseafood and rice pasta. The attention was excellent at the lunch buffet. We specially thank Jonathan (who called me his brother with so much kindness), Leidy, Oscar and Carlos. They were very attentive and always had someting nice to say. We loved the different restaurants for dinner. The food was excellent. There was every day a different show at 9 or 9:30 pm. All the shows were excellent. We loved the magic sow nigth, the rumba night, dominican night, the Beatles and the other daily shows. We are very thankful of all the amenities and great service.

Did not like dirty chairs in the bar area, as well as stained chairs & curtains in my room. Few baseboard tiles were missing in my room. The food was ok, pretty much the same every day. The beach and calm waters were excellent ( the best part of that hotel). Not sure why so much time & effort is spend on flower beds & shrubs where you can spend that time & money on something that requires immediate attention like for example ripped buffet restaurant' shades & stuff' uniforms. The pool area is very noisy, non stop music blasting.
