  • Seafield Cottage is a luxurious escape built with our guests in mind. With stunning rural and sea views, the cottage is minutes away from most popular Hawkes Bay locations.
    We provide a comprehensively stocked kitchen with generous breakfast essentials. Fresh farm eggs, bread, milk, butter, our own honey, jams etc. The 1.5 hectare property has been extensively planted with New Zealand native trees, shrubs, flax and edibles. Relax in the spectacular garden with a book from the library, or enjoy a walk around the hillsides to take in the panoramic Hawkes Bay view. Observe the tame native birdlife from the sumptuous couch on the deck that looks out at the valley and sea.
    Our new gorgeous addition is a purpose built gym/yoga studio to help you achieve health and wellbeing on your relaxing holiday.
    Help yourself to anything seasonal that is in the gardens or orchards. Complete your stress free day by soaking in the private spa with a complimentary bottle of wine.
    We have tried to think of everything you need when away for a romantic get away. There is an outside fire to enjoy if it's chilly. A private Bar B Que area. Numerous areas on the property to sit and contemplate life. The cottage has a smart TV and quality magazines to fill in any spare time you might have. We like you to treat the cottage as home while you are here.

Our second visit and we had another brilliant weekend. We made good use of the stunning gardens and had a packed lunch down at the pond with the very vocal frogs! Nice spa under the stars followed by hot chocolate in-front of the outdoor fire. Excellent communication from owners.

Gorgeous retreat

We had a fabulous stay at Seafield cottage. We absolutely loved the views and the sounds of nature around the cottage. Its a fabulous stay if you're wanting a little retreat out of the hustle and bustle of evryday life. Sheryl was a lovely host and was very accommodating for us.

Wonderful Hosts

This is a wonderful place to relax and explore the Napier area. The house is on a beautiful piece of property. When we arrived there were provisions in the fridge and Sheryl welcomed us. It was a very pleasant experience and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We were sad to leave.

A great place for a restful break

This property is comfotable and welcoming. The host really makes it a home from home, they have many personal touches to make your stay a good one. The property is peaceful, quiet and with no light polution , a great place to sit out under the stars. There are so many places on the property to sit with very different outlooks, you will always have a place to rest.

Fabulous haven for relaxation in comfort

A magnificent country setting and a very well appointed cottage make this a truly special place to stay. The owners could not have been more helpful, yet give you total privacy in the accommodation. Excellent facilities. A well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed all add to the experience. Wandering round the beautiful gardens, and soaking in the hot tub add extra bonus points to this truly amazing place.

Tuis, stars, and fresh eggs!

We had a fabulous time at Sheryl's place, which began with a warm welcome. We enjoyed free range eggs and a bottle of local wine, luxuriating in the spa, and spending time looking at both the countryside and the sea. We would highly recommend this lovely get-away.

A little patch of paradise

This was our second visit to the cottage. Such a lovely spot for a little get away. We love the view, privacy and facilities that the cottage offers. The cottage is small and compact but has absolutely everything that you need. We nave decided that we will have to be sure to come back annually :)

Amazing holiday

This was easily one of the best places we've ever stayed at. Impeccable, functional, and stunning. The host (Sheryl) was friendly, kind, and helpful. Wonderful Stay!

I stayed here for two weeks and the experience was wonderful. Sheryl was such a welcoming and lovely host and accommodated us with whatever we needed or asked for. It was comfortable and the view and surrounding area was beautiful to experience, especially in the hot tub! Staying here was worth the extra bit of distance from Napier and Hastings because it felt so removed from the city and had lots of peace and quiet (including the occasional distant bleat of sheep or moos!). Because my partner and I are total homebodies, it was a nice place to experience and appreciate the nature in NZ on the days we didn't go out. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have or plan to rent a car!

Absolutely perfect

Exactly what I was hoping for, very relaxed and quiet and comfortable . Our host was really great and answered any queries we had. The spa was sublime. An excellent place to stay and we intend to return before too long. Really appreciated the food and the refreshments left for us in the fridge. The Ultimate R & R

What an absolute gem we were lucky to find for our 2 night getaway to enjoy the Robbie Williams concert and just to press pause for a moment. Paul and Cheryl Seafield Cottage is a credit to you both and you have thought of everything. Your warmth and hospitality is equally matched with utmost privacy to enjoy your stay at this beautiful spot. You went over and beyond with helping us with transport and we can’t thank you enough.
