The staff was friendly and the views are great. The rooms were a tad outdated but the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. They use the hotel for special events and I can see how they would make an occasion wonderful.

First impressions are often contradictory, but good customer service is the benchmark that distinguishes average accomodations from those you want to return to again and again. Its simple with not many amenities, but what it may lack in convenience and sophistication, the incredibly responsive staff make up superbly; from Ms. LaRisathe Property Manager, Don Julio the Supervisor, Dennis the Night Security and of course Ms. Claudia, who whipped up a delicious breakfast each morning, they all truly made our stay pleasant, enjoyable and memorable! On the shore of Laguna Alvarado, hotel outdoor patios, gazebo and swings, made for great area to eat breakfast, reading or just relaxing watching the water and bird watching. On a some warmer days, I truly enjoyed the small but welcoming and cool pool. All there are other options in the area, I would gladly recommend Velomares Del Caribe!
