First let me talk about the good things about this property. The location is perfect. Tucked right next to the CVS, it was super easy to get where I needed to be on foot. Plus there was a dedicated parking spot, which was super helpful. The space itself is brighter than most basements and comes with everything you need. The bed and couch are both comfortable and the shower has good pressure. Now for the negatives. When we arrived, the keyless entry was not working. It took a while to get anyone via text or phone, but eventually I got a code for a lockbox to retrieve a key. Despite many conversations and reminders, the keypad did not get fixed all week. Then, on Tuesday, it rained hard. I woke up at midnight to water leaking into the bedroom. It took half an hour, but finally I got someone on the phone. They said to use the towels we had (exactly one bath and one beach for each of us) and they would bring more. It took until the following evening to get fresh towels. I showered and used my ocean-salty personal towel. The rest of the week I kept checking in and no one came to assess or clean the water issue. By Friday it smelled so musty. There were other small issues that were never addressed. Since then I’ve been advocating for a partial refund and have no answer, three weeks after leaving. Communication has been incredibly frustrating. I wanted to wait to review until this was all resolved but today is the deadline so I guess it is what it is.
