From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with local tips or extra towels. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city’s cobbled streets and historic sites. Mornings were a treat thanks to the generous breakfast spread: fresh pastries, fruit, eggs, and delicious Italian coffee that kept us going all day. The location was ideal—quiet yet close to everything, including the city walls and lovely piazzas. It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, hospitality, and value so well. Whether you’re travelling with kids or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this hotel hits all the right notes. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Lucca!"

"The hotel was above expectations. Exceptional staff on Reception and in the Breakfast Room. The bedroom was superb with the en-suite having extra additions such as the make up mirror. The location is excellent as situated ten minutes from the railway station and five minutes to the walled city. Thank you for a great stay. "

"Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. The swimming pool was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing. Fabio at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and even taught us a few phrases in Italian. He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat inside the walled city, which turned out to be some of our favorite meals in Lucca. The lady at the snack bar and breakfast service was equally delightful, always courteous and providing exceptional service that made mornings feel special. Hotel San Marco offered both comfort and genuine hospitality, making our time in Lucca even more memorable."

"This place was better than I could have hoped for - so very new and modern in an ancient place. Best of all worlds. Incredible blackout shades. Very effective AC. Walking distance to all Viareggio has to offer (the beaches!). Shout out to Giacomo! Before our visit we reserved two different beach clubs - Bagno La Pia was excellent as was the restaurant there. Bagno Amedea was not great - they overcharged not realizing I had a reservation and did not apply the 10% discount (coupon from Vu Suites) for the new services either."
