The Quack Shack

Get cozy on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. This air conditioned 2BR/1BA cabin is nestled in a quiet cove with stunning waterfront views. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the second has a twin over full bunk bed. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa. This little cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. Spend your days floating around in the walk out swimming area, or get out on the water in one of our kayaks or paddle board. With a bait shop and boat launch just minutes away, you are welcome to tie up your power boat on the new dock. And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Spend your evenings grilling a fresh caught dinner, and create even more memories sitting around the fire pit. Don't forget the s'mores! If you're looking for a more catered experience, there are several restaurants nearby. Whether you travel by car or boat, excellent local cuisine is just minutes away. Welcome to the Quack Shack. The Perfect Weekend Getaway

A fantastic little getaway

It was a really, really nice getaway that we both needed. Also great fishing! As well as far away enough from City areas to feel secluded in a good way but close enough to be able to get there pretty easily for good food!.

The quack shack

Great place. Had everything we needed. We were there for a fishing tournament and was out on the water during the day. Very peaceful and quiet evenings sitting on the deck overlooking the lake.

Awesome Property, Great Experience!

We stayed at this property for weekend tournament. My family had a blast while we were fishing, of course the fishing was great also! Neighborhood is great, neighbors are very friendly. Plenty of room to park 4-5 vehicles and turn around a truck and 21’ boat trailer. Boat dock is brand new with plenty of room for 2-3 boats.

Perfect lakeside house in summer

Loved that the place was equipped with not only basic amenities but also lake gear such as for fishing, kayaking, and stand up paddling! It’s a great place to pass the time.

Love the Lake

The Quack Shack is located at a very peaceful part of Lake Murray. We had our own Kayaks and kayaking was great. Our Sheltie loved the fenced in yard and we had a nice visit with the neighbors. Every kind of need was available if we needed it. Great location, great relaxing stay.

Weekend Getaway

The Quack Shack was so cozy and had everything we could need and more! Perfect weekend away - we brought a boat & the ramp was close, dock was great! Dog friendly, loved the fenced in yard! Some friends and their children visited us while we were there - great for them as well!

Very pleasant weekend

The home was cute and cozy very nicely set up for dogs. The yard was nice as well, the ducks were too cute. The neighbor was outstanding, very friendly and welcoming. Overall was a nice weekend.

Birthday vacation

We really enjoyed our stay! Great space with great views. We had a storm our last night and lost power, however the property manager was easy to contact and even gave us extra time for checking out! Really the only down side was the cobwebs and some bugs! Overall a great place!!!

Lakeside shack

This place has everything you need from kitchen stuff, bathroom needs, tv, beach towels, kayak, swimming, indoor games and outdoor games and probably things I haven't mentioned. I'm a senior citizen but I'm sure kids would have a blast.

Beautiful Lakeview

The cute quack shack house was right on the lake which is a huge beautiful Lake. John was very prompt in communication and very helpful and attentive. There was so much to do on property and so much more nearby. It almost felt like we had the entire Lake to ourselves. The property provided kayaks and paddle boards and other fun games. Bonus was that the property was completely fenced out which is great for pets to have off leash. We definitely enjoyed our time and will be returning.

Lake trip

House was nice and clean. We enjoyed the fenced in yard for our 2 small dogs. The yard needs more space to accommodate parking and maneuvering a full size truck and 18’ boat.

The Host thought of everything!

When I first walked in the door, I noticed how clean it smelled. It cones with its quirks, as its an older bungalow, but there was not a thing that we were lacking. The property and the location were 10 star. The host was 10 star. We'll be back!

First Year Anniversary

We enjoyed our stay. Sat on the Dock several times,watched the moon go up and the sun come down. Caught a few turtles while fishing.Hiked the trails in the Dreher Island State Park. Had a nice meal at Catch 22. Grilled out a few times.. Looking forward to returning once the renovation is completed. Thankyou, Francis and Kathleen

Peaceful

It’s a great place to stay if you’re planning on staying put. Coffee on the back porch, overlooking the lake, was the highlight of every morning. Since we were in the area to get to know Lexington, it was a bit too far out for our purposes. Would have liked to have known there was a paddle board on property so I could have left mine at home and saved some space in the car but not the end of the world. 😊 Overall a great little place at the lake.

Little League Baseball

My spouse, pup I came down for our grandson’s baseball tournaments. Neighbors were very nice, & it was peaceful. Our daughter & family came over on the last night & we had wonderful family time! Fishing, eating on the picnic table, playing games! We also loved the gorgeous sunrises were just some of our favorite moments. We saw a Goat 😍 on the neighbor's property (2) lots down! We enjoyed our time in the Quack Shack!

Great Lake House(May 2024)

we had a great time even though the weather didn't go the way we thought it would. It rained most the time. We loved the direct access to the lake and dock. The house was just the right size for our stay. Was awesome to see all the turtles, frogs, fish, ducks, and cranes. The neighbors were friendly and their dogs were chatty Pomeranian, but did not bother us as we have dogs of our own. Only downfall which was not a deal breaker, but the beds were not super comfortable to us but may work for someone else. We are already talking about another trip.
