"Very clean home in nice village with a couple of restaurants. Good jumping off point to explore Picos de Europa."

"Goyo is a fabulous host and the house is absolutely beautiful. It is really well equipped and feels like a home instead of a holiday rental. The terrace is fabulous and the BBQ and it’s so quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is stunning too. Shopping can be done in Cervera or Guardo. The former smaller and prettier. Could not recommend this place any higher/ 10/10!"

The village is very small, but has bars, restaurants and a small supermarket within 15 minutes walking distance. The few inhabitants in the village are friendly and open to tourists. It's located in a quaint tiny village on the Cares trail -- definitely bring provisions with you as the kitchen is perfect for cooking meals (and the food is so good in this area it's hard to make a bad meal). "If you like a bit of adventure, nature with super amazing views and would like a change of pace, this is the place. After Lisbon and Porto and prior to San Sebastian and Barcelona, we stayed here for 3 days and it became the highlight of our trip! A wonderful contrast to our vacation to say the least! A day of easy hiking/walking, a day of horseback riding and just simple relaxation made this stop simply phenomena l!!"

"Great place and views and food. Some reception staff, not all, seemed to resent questions, even though we are Spanish speakers. Carpets are terribly stained for such a nice place. Restaurant staff were great. We would stay again."

"Wonderful traditional hotel in a stunning part of the Picos de Europa. Getting there is an event in itself; after you've passed through magnificent scenery, you're faced with a winding road to the top of the mountain, passing through two tunnels. Once there, you're on the edge of a charming village, and although the hosts speak little English, we both got by with the help of Google Translate! The hosts do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at the heart of a traditional Spanish home. Excellent walking from the hotel, stunning views and amazing home-cooked local food. Delicious breakfasts and evening meals – make sure you experience the restaurant. Thanks for a great couple of nights."

The town has an ATM, some small restaurants and a small supermarket. Situated in the middle of mountains and amazing parks. Very safe roads and very friendly local people"

"A surprisingly pleasant stay despite initial impressions outside and the general location. The rooms, there were 4 of us, were very spacious and had everything we needed. A nice breakfast was included. The only real negative was we didn't know there was no restaurant service Fri to Sun....we arrived Fri for 2 nights. Staff helpful."
