Kamahana 16 UP is a thoughtfully updated, refined retreat overlooking the award-winning Makai Golf Course. The efficient-yet-inviting living space features a cozy media area, and well-stocked kitchenette complete with a toaster, toaster oven, hot plate, blender, and coffee maker. The bedroom boasts a plush king-sized bed and vanity or desk space, depending on your needs, with views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean. The shady private lanai looks out onto the beautifully maintained complex grounds, and is the perfect place to pass a quiet morning or lazy afternoon. All of the decor and bedding was curated and commissioned especially for Kamahana 16UP by digital artist Sunny Tien, making this a truly one-of-a-kind getaway!

You'll find that the location is just as desirable as the condo itself at Kamahana 16UP! Island favorite Anini Beach is just 5 minutes away driving, and has calm, clear waters great for snorkeling and swimming. The beautiful golden beaches of Hanalei Bay are just 15 minutes away, and the water is gentle and shallow, great for swimmers of all ages. The charming Hanalei town is right nearby as well, and has all the boutique shopping and delicious eating you could ever want! Try some ultra-fresh fish at the Hanalei Dolphin, or grab a sweet treat at Wishing Well Shave Ice (add the macnut ice-cream and thank us later!). If you don't mind a longer journey, Tunnels Beach is 30 minutes away, and has some of the best snorkeling on the island, and plenty of Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) too! For those that prefer to stay a little closer to home, the Princeville Shopping Center is only 1.5 miles away, about 5 minutes driving, and has a Foodland grocery store, and plenty of eating out options for casual dining! Happy hour at Tiki Iniki is a great way to pass the afternoon with a cocktail and an appetizer, and the Saturday morning farmers market and free afternoon hula show are the perfect local activities!

For laidback, close to home fun, the Kamahana complex offers all you need for a chilled-out, restorative stay. The complex pool is meticulously maintained, and has plenty of sun loungers scattered about. Bring your favorite cocktail to the pool (no glass cups please!) and spend the day stretched out by the pool catching some rays and enjoying the temperate weather. For those interested in a bit of thrill we recommend walking just 5 minutes to the Sealodge Beach trailhead and braving the muddy path down to the beach. You'll be rewarded with a true hidden gem, and the perfect place for a quiet picnic lunch by the water!

For excursions on the East Side or South Shore of the island, be sure to budget your time accordingly. Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 50 minutes, and to the South Shore is 75 minutes.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.
