Spectacular

Amazing Experience

We had the best time here! Clean, roomy for our party of 6, and phenomenal view. The outdoor space/lawn was perfect for kids, made the space feel twice as big. We can’t wait to back!

Lovely stay in Hanalei Bay

Our family of 5 (2 adults + 13,10, 8 year old kids) stayed here for a week of beach time and hiking on Kauai. The rental was clean, in a beautiful location, and close to Princeville and Hanalei Bay. The resort has 2 pools, a restaurant, take out pizza, beautiful grounds and helpful staff. Our unit had a washer and dryer, beach gear (chairs, umbrella, various sand toys, boogie boards, ponchos etc) kitchen supplies, AC in all rooms, and privacy. It was just lovely! We spent our time at Hanalei beach, Hanalei town, various hiking trails, local restaurants, the pools, and at our rental. We cooked some meals and ate on the back patio enjoying the beautiful view and gardens. It was a wonderful vacation, and this rental unit served all our needs. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful View Property

We had a great time at this property. It was in a great location and had the most amazing view. Breakfast each morning on the lanai was amazing with the views and all the birds who came to visit. The property was beautiful as well and the beach that we could walk or shuttle to was so great for the kids. We used the pool too but only about twice since the beaches nearby were so much more fun for the kids. The interior of the condo was great and very spacious. We loved having the washer and dryer inside as well as the ice maker on the fridge. The only things that company may need to fix for next time are: 1. Bathtub sink drain does not work so we could not take a bath the entire time. This needs to be fixed. 2. The umbrella in the closet is broken and missing a piece to keep the umbrella up which was disappointing since we lugged it all the way to Hanalei Bay and we couldn't' use it in the hot sun. 3. Boogie board in closet also seems to be broken in the middle. Otherwise everything else was great. We would definitely stay there again and will be recommending to any friends we have wanting to stay on the north shore.

Great location for a wonderful family vacation

We stayed in 8101/8102 in the Plumeria buildings of Hanalei Bay Resort. I’m not sure I would stay in any of the other buildings at the resort just based on the view and location, except for perhaps the Bamboo buildings. The rooms were sufficient for our family of six. The resort and staff were great. Christian, the concierge, was fantastic setting up excursions for us which were all great recommendations. The pool was nice, but when we were there (December), with the rain, it was pretty chilly. Kids loved the pool even though it was unheated. I would have probably utilized the swim up bar if the water was warmer. The hot tub was really nice with a sandy bottom...nice touch. The Happy Talk bar/restaurant were both excellent with nice food, views and service. The main restaurant area (I think it is called Bali Hai) was under construction while we were there. Once completed, it looks like it will be a very nice area with great views. The resort is not far from the beach and shares a nice beach with the Princeville Resort. It’s a bit of a hilly walk from the resort, but the resort offers golf cart rides to the beach (and parking lot) which is a VERY nice touch, especially with whiny kids. The gym was small, but had most of what is needed for a workout. Overall, would highly recommend this property.

Really nice property for the family -- we woudl come back!

We had a wonderful stay with our kids at this unit and at the resort. We would definitely rent this unit again. The view from the unit is even better than it seems on the website. It has unbeatable views of the Napali Coast and the sunset. The unit was clean, nicely appointed for a family, and well-laid out. And given that we stayed in August, we all appreciated that the rooms were air conditioned! We had plenty of room to hang out and prepare breakfasts and lunches. The Hanelei Bay Resort was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food options at the resort are limited, but we were glad to make our own breakfasts and then go out to dinner. There is also a shared public grill by the small pool for guests to use. We liked having the option of playing tennis with the kids (renting the rackets at the resport), using the fitness facility, renting beach chairs and umbrellas to take to the many beaches in the area, and also hanging out by the pool. We loved the location; it is a 30 minute drive to the Napali Coast trail head and the amazing beaches leading up to it. The beach at the bottom of the hill -- which is shared with the St. Regis -- had nice snorkeling. This is not an area where you can run on the beach for a vast expanse, but there is no resort on the north shore of Kauai where you can do that -- you would need to be further west in a private home. This is not a 5-star property in the sense of ultimate luxury, but the cost was so much more reasonable than the St. Regis and the vibe more low key. In my opinion it is the best family resort option on the north shore.
