  • The Happy Talk Lounge, Wiki Pizza and the fitness center are closed as of 9/7/26 until further notice.

    Hanalei Bay Resort Front Desk Fees: $50 guest check in fee, plus a reservation fee of $6.75, plus $25/day and $20/day/car + GET & TAT Tax. Please note this is a separate transaction with the guest and the front desk, subject to change and beyond our control.

    The county of Kauai does not permit this studio to have a kitchen. There is only a small fridge, coffee maker, blender and electric tea kettle.

    Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave!

    This spacious studio unit can accommodate up to 4 people making a great option for a family vacation at a reasonable rate! The county of Kauai does not permit this studio to have a kitchen. There is only a coffee maker, blender and electric tea kettle. The tile floors throughout are great for island living and upkeep. The lanai space will add a sense of serenity to your vacation as you gaze at the amazing mountains and garden views! The resort amenities will add to the excitement with two pools, a hot tub, cascading waterfall features, multiple tennis courts, a fire pit sitting area to enjoy the nightly sunsets and direct beach access.

Clean. Pool was amazing, even better than the pics. Private beach access is great. Location is prime. Great hospitality and excellent communication. Only downside was not having any breakfast or lunch options on the property which would be very convenient.

The view is by far the highlight of this room!! Incredible. The whole resort is beautiful. The room is more hotel-esque. I’ve stayed in different condos in this resort that were more condo-homelike, but it was a great price as well. Definitely would return.

Our stay was perfect. View from balcony is unreal, our unit was clean, and we slept great. Hanalei was our favorite place to be on the island, and every time we left, we couldn’t wait to return. We fell in love with HBR. We enjoyed wiki pizza and happy talk lounge in hotel. We used the pickleball courts daily. We snorkeled at Pua Poa beach, and saw so many fish and a giant turtle while snorkeling. My daughter did lei making class at the resort, so fun! The hot tub/pool are beautiful/huge.

What a gem! Excellent resort amenities, wonderful views and centrally located close to the parking without sacrificing views. The resort pools and grounds - plus access to Pu’u Poa beach were the icing on the cake. The owners have boogie boards, coolers and chairs for use as well as basic utensils, coffee maker and fridge. Enough to be self sufficient

I absolutely loved our stay. The space was all we needed and the view was amazing. We are at both restaurants on the property and they were both great. They golf cart rides from the beach were fantastic.

Great stay! The property was exactly as described. Located very close to the lobby, pool, spa, and restaurants which made it easy to enjoy all the amenities! Beautiful view from the balcony.

Overall a great stay - proximity to 1Hotel and the beach was fantastic. Two complaints:1. Cleanliness. While the linens were clean (most important thing), the floor was dirty (could feel it under your feet), mirrors were smudged, and the shower felt a bit dirty. For the outrageous cleaning fee charged after each guest, this thing should be spotless - guarantee a mop/ steamer is not used between visits.2. Additional Fees. While the property description does mention there will be additional fees OUTSIDE the VRBO fees, it is not prominently noted. If you aren’t reading every single word carefully when you book, you’ll miss it. Be warned, you pay an additional 50 check in fee, 25/day resort fee and 20/day parking fee GET & TAT Tax).

Very family friendly and fun. Spectacular views. I love the old Hawaii feel. The restaurant was fun and had great food, we ate there 3 times in 3 days. Beautiful property and room had dishes etc available which was great for a hotel room/studio.
