Bathrooms and bedroom renovated but hallways, door jams old. Ventilation system old. Parking was on street where you could find a spot. Would not leave valuables in car. Nice breakfast especially when given a $10 credit for breakfast ordered off menu vs free continental breakfast. Convenient to ferry.
The staff was always helpful. The room was clean and having a balcony was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was very good, and the restaurant service and food also. We enjoyed our 4-day stay there very much.
The room was updated, staff friendly when available. The restaurant was really great. The room beside us was extremely loud, yelling going in and out on balcony starting after midnight. When checking out waited 20 minutes for a staff member to come to desk finally just left keys with maintenence worker?

Excellent, friendly staff. Recently renovated rooms. Good location. Would stay there again.
Did not get the room that I had originally booked and confirmed a month after my booking. The employee at the front desk was very apologetic and corrected the issue right away and the room was exactly what we expected which was very satisfying.
The main floor area appears to be under renovation which it badly needs.
Hotel parking is a bit confusing as there is no dedicated area or signage.
We spent $340 for one night - what a complete rip off. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in - will not be coming back.

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was not clean. The walls are very thin. And I can hear the TV on for hours, complained to the front desk and the person next door lowered a little but continued for the next few days. Would not recommend this hotel. The front desk is very nice.
Misrepresented. This is a 2 star hotel charging 4/5 star prices.
We booked Room 305 with 2 queen beds for our family of 4 with a “partial ocean view” (POV) for July 28/29, 2026, for a total of $871.
We are not from the area so we relied on the images of the room / hotel to get a sense of what we were purchasing. Further, The Crest Hotel and The Prestige Hotel did not have availability for July 29.
On check-in, we opened the door to the room we were entirely let down. While the room loosely resembled the online images, significant creative license was taken.
The POV was of the roof on the building. On my tip toes on the balcony (I’m 6’5”) I could see water (I think). The tv was smaller than a laptop screen. The recent uneven paint was evident throughout the room. The bathroom smelled like someone had just used it. Lipstick on a pig.
We had dinner off property and parked a block away (there is only street parking). When we looked around a little more there were smear marks on the wooden headboard from poor cleaning. Breakfast (630-9) in the “restaurant” had very little food (eggs and yogurt were gone).
The keys had to be re-keyed twice and no housekeeping ever turned the beds. I complained to the desk about the state of the room being misrepresented was told “they agree” and I should have said something earlier so they could have moved us to the other side of the hotel for an actual POV, and gave me $100 refund.
So $771 for a room worth $175 max.
- Unsatisfied Sucker.
This is one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. Admittedly the rating is lower than I would normally consider but there are not a lot of choices for a reasonably priced point in Prince Rupert. There was a mix of good and bad reviews as is usually the case for lower rated places. The lobby looks fine when you enter and check in was normal. The “large deluxe room” was at first sight was funny as it was a giant room with a queen bed in the corner and basically nothing else. One tiny club chair in the opposite corner and a little table with one chair to sit on the end of the bed. Clearly had been a double room previously by the marks on the floor. It was clean on the surface but not when you actually looked, the floors were not clean and the drain in the bathroom sink had gunk all around it. Also there were no towel racks nor hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. Clearly a lipstick renovation at best. The final and most important even was the next morning we went to the restaurant. We had just sat down and what do I see but a mouse waltzing across the floor. This was also observed by the staff. We immediately left and told the front desk. The response yes we know and have call the exterminator who will be here tomorrow!!!!😳 Summary, do not stay here!!!
Honestly loved this place. The staff made it awesome. Very friendly and extremely helpful when I ran into some travel issues. A bit of updating and minor construction going on still but overall not a nuisance. Rooms and everything were updated and comfortable. Restaurant was classic and yummy, also great staff!!
