"Arrived after a long weekend of work to relax ..! Arrived to a birthday party or similar event,checked in and was told no bar no restaurant no pool,would have been good to advise when booking not when we arrived, when being shown to our room i had to climb stairs as lift had floor cleaner blocking and receptionist would not move,she then stood at top of stairs watching me struggle with my case(i'm disabled and on crutches to walk) completely ignored me as if she had better things to do.... "This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome "
