"Extraordinary service and first class accommodations. This convent has been upgraded in 2024 into one the best places to stay in all of Portugal. We decided to stay in Vila do Conde (along the coast) instead of inland in Braga. It was a great decision as Lince Santa Clara was incredibly beautiful and just a short drive to Braga."

"Decent place for one night while hiking the Camino Littoral Route. Note that there are some rooms on the second floor and no elevator so if that’s where you’ll stay there are steep, narrow steps to negotiate. "

"I would not recommend the private rooms. The private rooms are located under the communal area. The noise was really bad and made sleep pretty impossible. Definitely get a private room in a hotel, probably cheaper and quieter."

"Check in staff were lovely, food and drinks were a constant challenge with minimal customers and staff feeling overwhelmed. Seemed more concerned with polishing glasses than looking after people. Food was amazing once received. Room was dated and bathroom not very clean, very mouldy. "

Vila do Conde is a good place to stay, beautiful beaches, all shops etc and easy to get to from airport and for day trips into Porto.
