Pownal itself is a fairly typical small town in VT. For tourists to the area it is notable for its location between the Berkshires to the south and the Bennington area, with its historical attractions and skiing places to the north.



The rental was adequate but the kitchen was older, despite the cabinets being painted and the hardware being replaced. The appliances need replacing, including the coffee pot, and the seal around the kitchen sink had mildew, which made cooking unappealing. The hot tub was a nice addition, however, ...

The room we stayed in has a shared hot water heater with another room, when we tried to take a shower in the morning we had no hot water. We called the front desk and were told to wait for the water heater to generate hot water. We waited until 30 minutes prior to check out and still had no hot water ...
